It's a very fair assessment. I was just rereading the first thread and find it amazing we are still asking the same questions. It's so sad.

heres one question!

Why did the family withold the info that they received a call from Brit or her phone!

I’m curious:

What’s the local attitude about BW’s case now?
Have there been any fundraising events since the bucket drive?
If there was a bucket drive/fundraiser now, what would be the reaction? Would people donate?
Has anyone offered up info in an attempt to claim reward monies?
Why isn't there more/any effort to raise the reward amount to get people talking?
What do the locals think happened to BW?
Do locals think she is alive or dead?
Are there still attempts to get BW’s case in the media?
Are flyers still posted/being posted?
In other cases, there are gatherings at months-since-disappearance dates – have there been such gatherings for BW?
Is there any ongoing communication between LE and BW’s parents/steps?

Sure wish there was some progress in this case! Would be interesting to clearly hear from LE as to who exactly has been helpful/forthcoming with info and who exactly has stonewalled or given inaccurate info.

How many months now since BW went missing?

  • #364
Has SH been encouraged to join WS as a verified insider? Or WH (BW's dad)?

  • #365
I think WH might find it hard to abide by TOS. He seems very angry. And CW seems to be the only one with some sort of line of communication with LE?

  • #366
Maybe Chatty's vulgar pup has some insight into this case?

  • #367
I just want some movement in this case. A break, new info, some sort of event that'll blow this whole thing open.

Is that so much to ask? hahaha

... "My brother proved today that he is a real man, he walked out with his head held high," said [TJW].

[CW] said her oldest son, [DW], called her and said he was turning himself in to authorities but first he wanted to see [TJW], who was just released from jail himself.

"I took him to his grandmother's house and as soon as he saw [TJW] he picked up the phone and called police," said [CW].

There, the brothers spent moments before agents showed up. [TJW] said the whole situation has been hard.

"I try to be strong; I am going through a lot of stuff right now. I mean my sister, you know I wasn't out whenever she went missing and I couldn't help look for her," said [TJW]. "And now my brother, the only one I got left, and the first person I want to see when I get out is him, and then he goes to jail." ...

I"d forgotten about Zeaux posting about the white SUV. I don't know how to do the multiple quotes, so I C/P the pertinent parts. It sure sounds like Donnie and Dustin's MO. IMO either they planned bad things for Brittney, or they wanted to convince her to testify on their behalf, or they convinced her to leave town. Thoughts?

"I hope so... Please let me know or edit as necessary if I overstep.

First, Dustin Kent drives a white SUV like BW was reportedly seen getting into with 2 men the night she went missing.

There has been an ongoing investigation for several months into a group of men molesting young girls. DH was one of the men being investigated and had a meeting with LE scheduled for the day he shot himself. He was staying at a friend's house (the Styx River house) because he wasn't allowed to stay at home because of the investigation and charges against him."

"I still think it's important that the vehicle Brittney was reportedly seen getting into May 31 matched Dustin Kent's and there were 2 men seen in it. Knowing what they were involved in, I don't know how anyone could still think BW is in hiding."

"I was told she was seen getting into a white SUV with 2 men the night she went missing. I believe DH's was black and it was thought to be a mistake. Now that this has gone down with the 2 arrests, it's highly suspicious. I am not sure where she was seen getting in the vehicle or where it was headed. I don't know the witness, but the source telling me the story and the vehicle matches (D)JK's is a reliable source.

I think I told you I was pretty sure who the child molester was, and I wasn't referring to one who was arrested. I had no idea of the others. I might be able to explain more about that soon."

Now thats interesting!
She took him so she had him why didnt she call LE?

By the way, why did Zeaux stop posting? TIA

An insider's update about now could get the ball rolling again on this case. JMO. Unless, of course, those in the know, locals and insiders are just hoping this will all just quietly go away.

Seems to be little respect for the law across the board in this case - as though they feel the law doesn't apply to them - of course, until they get caught.

Yes Zeaux quit posting due to people twisting the words of his/her posts, him/her being asked the same questions over and over again plus the negativity towards the family**. He/she felt that they were no longer of value due to how the thread was flowing at the time. Sad but true...

Sorry If I'm being slow Quester;

'..my brother, the only one I got left' ?????

Because other brother/s have passed or disappeared somewhere?

Because he's decided Brittney is gone forever?

"And now my brother, the only one I got left, and the first person I want to see when I get out is him, and then he goes to jail."

I interpreted it either as the only close sibling he has left* since BW is most likely dead / he knows she's dead OR possibly the only family member left that he is close to – sounds like TJW’s relationships with family members have been very strained – but, we'd need someone in the know to give a clearer picture about the latter.

*Note: I’m aware TJW also has two toddler half siblings.

There is one thing about this case that is so puzzling to me.

Very serious charges have been laid against these family members, yet none of them have tried to leave town, let alone the state or the country. They have stuck together and stayed put, even though most of them must have known in advance what was coming, down the line.

True, DH opted out of life, but he still did so on familiar ground - and DW's 'escape' went as far as his grandmother's house. Not exactly adventurous.

Brittney was no exception, I think. She never set up home in another state, or very far away at all. Despite all the horrible things she had endured. She stuck close, like the rest of the family.

So where on earth did LE get the idea she was voluntary missing when she disappeared? That she'd just left town suddenly? Why did they stick with it for so long? I always wonder if this was just their opinion, or someone had fed them this line.

Well that's a darn shame. Did she convey these feelings to you, or is this more your opinion? I was just reading through all of her comments and her patience was outstanding. Still, I thought the moderators were always quick to pick up on any negativity and, of course, discussion of minors has always been strictly off-limits at WS.

It did become hard to defend certain family members when the truth became evident.

Thanks tlzzdavis. :seeya:

BBM - Yes - I think someone/s had fed LE the line that BW was voluntarily missing! I think the last phone ping at the truck stop was staged to insinuate that BW hitched a ride on a semi. I think most of the family knows the score and why. JHVHO.

  • #379
Would anyone else like to see WWH's phone pings during the relevant period too?

Yep. Especially with this item: ""All we reported to the family is that we had information through our investigation that puts [B Wood] in the Grand Bay area or south Mobile County at or around same time [Holland] is committing suicide,” (MPD Cpl. Chris)Levy said""

I know it's far-fetched, but where did WWH go during that 1 1/2 hr Donnie was alone at Fairhope? 90 minute round trip isn't it? moo

At the two months missing point, CW was reported as having stated the following:
"I don't think my baby's alive; I just don't. I wish I could, but I don't,” said [CW].

7/30/12 - http://www.fox10tv.com/dpp/news/loc...tney-wood-missing-two-months?categoryId=10001
In how many missing persons cases have we seen the mother of the missing stating anything similar, essentially giving up hope that their child is alive after just two months?
