OK, so some of you believe that WWH could be a major party in this? Forgive me if I am asking something that others have already suspected, but what if WWH colluded with DH to 'get rid of the problem' (i.e. BW's testimony) because she feared that DH would be going to jail and leaving her (re:their) family in dire straits? Then, DH could not live with himself for what he had taken part in and ended his life? In other words, what if WWH was the mastermind behind all of this?

Just speculation.

Apparently some need a reminder that this thread is for, and about, BRITTNEY WOOD.

Seems to be little respect for the law across the board in this case - as though they feel the law doesn't apply to them - of course, until they get caught.

So right and it's sickening. I don't even think they believe it applies after they're caught. Look at DW and DK having issues with their monitoring devices.

I've been thinking a lot about why Brittney disappeared, as well as where. If she has met with foul play and been silenced, what was it she might have known? And about who?

It's natural to try and link this with the sex abuse charges others are facing, but I have a little problem with this. I find it really hard to be certain of anyone in the close circle who DIDN'T know, or at least have an idea or suspicion. So why would it just be Brittney who needed to be silenced?

To quote someone else, I can't help feeling I may be missing something hollering out my name, but I just cannot work out what it might be.

I don't know that I buy into the theory that it is as closely tied to the sex abuse cases as this, but the first answer that comes to mind is because she indicated an intent to testify against them, whereas the others were still under the elder's thumbs.

Tonto, I was just thinking the only way we know Brittney was even headed to Styx River is by WWH saying Brittney called her asking to come visit. kwim

Re the gun:

"Brittney supposedly acquired the gun not long before she disappeared."
per Zeaux per CW
AL AL- Brittney Wood, 19, Mobile, 31 May 2012 - #5 - Page 28 - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community

"When Brittney acquired it, it only had 2 bullets and she never got more."
per Zeaux per CW
AL AL- Brittney Wood, 19, Mobile, 31 May 2012 - #5 - Page 28 - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community

Brittney’s relatives told deputies that the teen normally only had two bullets in her gun.

BBM -Looks like the story was growing!

BBM - Regarding my bold, it may very well be accurate that CW was Zeaux's source of that information but I don't think Zeaux ever stated that so I'm not sure if that is certain or not.

I don't know about that, Reedus.

Neither the MPD or the BCSO would confirm the rumor that Wood had gone to visit her uncle the night she disappeared, but BCSO spokesperson Maj. Anthony Lowery said a three-day search in the Styx River area earlier this month was related to her cell phone records.

"We believe her cell phone went to that area,” Lowery said. "We don’t have any information to believe she was with the cell phone at the time.”

Well if they didn't confirm it, they need to find a new profession. Simply contacting everyone that had access to the number dialed or the number that called in at that time of night would get the answer. I suppose she could have called and it went to voicemail and she didn't leave a message.

Well you see, that's the problem. No one can find that post.

Just for clarification and I'll try to look for it. Is everyone looking for a post that Brittney made a phone call at 12:07 on that Thursday going into Friday?

 • #469
Yes, a MSM quote from Maj. Anthony Lowery pretty much trumps anything the family might have put out there. Which one would hold up in court? :twocents:

The only problem with that is how hard has LE looked? I mean at times, they've gone so far as to say there is no investigation. So I'm not blasting LE, just repeating what they've said.

Beyond that, I believe the next sentence of that article says their information places Wood in Grand Bay. I presume that means Brittney was in Grand Bay that day, as opposed to just her cell phone. So how do they know Brittney was in Grand Bay? Video? Witness? Telephone call? I have no idea but I think they clearly say Brittney was in Grand Bay.

Two different LEagencies. Levy = Mobile PD = Styx River. Lowery = Baldwin County Sheriff's Office = Grand Bay. BCSO not conducting investigation, but assisting MPD, per the article.

I think initially WWH was denying Brittney was ever there. I think since then I have seen statements where she admits DH was the last person known to be with Brittney.

I know I saw a FB comment by WWH where she states that DH was the last person to see Brittney.

This particular comment was made in mid-October when Derek was running. I saved a copy of the FB page where it was posted.

Whether WWH knows for a fact that DH was the last person to see Brittney is unknown, as far as I'm concerned.

That WWH said as much is a fact as far as I'm concerned. Saw that with my own eyes and have it documented.

Actually, this should read::: Lowery = Baldwin County Sheriff's Office = Styx River. Levy = Mobile PD = Grand Bay

Rangeline Road, for future reference only.

11/22/2012
"The search for missing teenager Brittney Wood has turned its focus to the Rangeline Road area."
"The 10 volunteers searched about 30 acres all with one mission: to find Brittney Wood. Hanke said the location is based on cell phone records of Brittney's late uncle, Donald Holland."

11/20/2012
"The Rangeline Road area was spotlighted by the Mobile Police Department, according to Dennis. Hanke said it is the same area where Wood's brother, Derek, removed his ankle monitor while running from police in October."

10/22/2012
"Congleton recounted the victim’s harrowing account of the 2008 incident. She told investigators that it occurred in September or October of that year, the detective said."
"He testified that the girl’s father, Donnie Holland, picked up his daughter and told her they would go to a pet store to buy a hamster. Instead, Congleton said, Holland drove to Kent’s workplace. The three of them then went to Shipyard Road near Rangeline Road off Interstate 10."

"Maj. Anthony Lowery, spokesman for the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, said Friday that deputies checked the area around Waterworld Road on Wednesday and Thursday, but found nothing.
“The road runs parallel to Interstate 10 and is a few hundred yards, at best, off the interstate,” he said. “We don’t know if she was with her cell phone or if she passing through on the interstate.”
Lowery said that deputies have not found any witnesses who recall seeing Wood in Baldwin County.
“We don’t have anything to lead us to believe that she’s in Baldwin County,” Lowery said."

VELEZ-MITCHELL: ... Marc, you`ve heard all the facts. What -- what are you making of it?

KLAAS: Well, Jane, I think the mother`s demeanor says more than anything that we can see. She obviously has a bad feeling about what happened to her daughter.

I don`t see a lot of good scenarios coming out of this. And I really doubt that Brittany is sitting in front of a TV watching this right now. She doesn`t seem like the kind of a girl that would torture her family and abandon her young child.

So it`s really a matter of working with the authorities and combing the areas where she might be until we`re able to solve what happened to Brittany.

Of course, we all want her to come home alive. There`s absolutely no question about that. And miracles do happen. But I think it would take a miracle for her to be found alive.

"She was happy as she could be. She wasn't upset at all. She walked out of my yard carrying a blue bag and just i thought she was going to a friend's (house.) That was the last time I saw her,” said Wood.

"She walks out my door May 30, Her uncle commits suicide two days later. He's the last one she's seen with," said Wood.

Is there a MSM article for this info?

Um, no sorry. I got it from Brittney's Social Media thread down stairs. Glad to see all those FB postings are still there. It's so interesting to look back. Very telling...

I'm looking for a MSM quote that has a Brittney sighting past June 1. I saved three FB posts from people saying they saw her riding in a car with a guy. Just looking for a MSM link? Thank you in advance.

Is there a MSM article for this info?

Not for what I saw.

Let's just say that I'm speculating (based upon what I have seen with my own eyes) that as of mid-October, WWH believed DH was the last person to see Brittney. MOO.

CW and SSH were of the same belief that BW was with DH at some point prior to her disappearance:

But Brittney’s mother Chessie Wood and stepmother Stephanie Hanke aren’t shy about making the connection, as least as it pertains to Donnie Holland. They believe that he was with Brittney less than 48 hours before he shot himself, based on phone records.

I found a few articles about it jamming but couldn't find one about the 3rd bullet. Some of the gun forums also mentioned that the bullets were more expensive, if that is true, i can see why she didn't buy any more than the two it came with.

the two bullets stood it to me as being odd. It must have meant something...perhaps that the gun had a tendency to jam on the third shot so thats why 2 bullets were in the chamber. Btitt obviously got the gun from someone who knew what the gun was capable of it, how to use it, how to load it, etc. Maybe the other 4 bullets were used for practice (assuming the chamber holds six). Who knows? Who knows really why she had the gun in the first place? Safety from who?
