Didn't Donnie's cell phone ping near Tillman's Corner that night, while Brittney's pinged later near Grand Bay? I'd say that puts him in the area of where the remains have been found, wouldn't it?

Yes, yes and yes

Interesting if this is the case. I just don't see how he could have killed himself with Britney's gun if a) he didn't take it from her at some point, and b) he wasn't having some serious guilt over something that happened shortly before. I mean, I guess his pending arrest for other things could have driven him over the edge, but it doesn't explain his having and then using Brit's gun.

I think he took it off of her after he killed her and dumped her body. MOO

I also think we will never know EXACTLY why Donnie killed himself. There are too many reasons for him to have done it, and we know nothing about the inner workings of this guy's mind except that he's a disgusting pervert...hard to tell what he was thinking when he took his life.

I'm also really curious to see if the news will report if any items have been found with these bones...a tote bag? Flip flops? Scraps of clothing?

Good grief, this is the first reporting of remains found that has my heart in my throat.

I always wondered when Derek ran after removing his monitor, where he was trying to get to.

And why he was so desperate to talk to his brother first before they picked him up. Something tells me it was regarding Brittney's location. Just IMO.

Thinking of Brittney's true loved ones during this - what has to be awful - wait.

Brittney and family...you're in my thoughts right now!

There was clothing found but it being a dumping area it is hard to tell if they are associated with the remains.

My personal opinion on the clothing is that no matter who it is - this is a trash site and all kinds of clothing gets dumped... Also who really knows what Brittney was wearing the night she and Donnie left Styx River except for SURE Donnie and well... ya know... he sure ain't talking but no one else either.

They should know already whether the remains are male or female, depending on if they've found the pelvic region of the body...

WOW! I just stumbled across this thread due to the recent activity, when I was checking on Dylan's thread. I've tried to catch up a bit, but I think I have more questions than answers-I am hoping some of you who have been following the thread can clue me in (I'm thinking there may be other late comers as well.)

1.) Do we know if the uncle that committed suicide had a violent record?
2.) Are all 6 of the kin who have been arrested, been accused of abusing the same child?
3.) I see that her mother is questionable in that she is "looking" for Brittney, yet still supporting her son.
4.) Who is Brittney's daughter's father? Where is her daughter now? With the father or with her father and step-mother. (I see that her father and step-mother are very supportive to finding Brittney and bringing justice for her.)
5.) Who did Brittney live with? Her mother? The baby's father? Her boyfriend?
6.) Speaking of the boyfriend, is he the baby's father? Did I hear correctly that he shot and/or killed someone?
7.) Why did Brittney carry a gun? No judgement at all, but wondering if she feared some of those in her inner circle.
8.) Are all 6 of those facing charges from the same side of the family? Mother's side of the family?

This has got to be one of the most incredible cases I've seen in quite a while and can't believe it hasn't gotten more coverage. It just seems to be even too incredible for words. I can actually hear the banjos playing. (Not to make a joke, as this young woman missing is no joke, nor is the victimization of a child) but these kinfolk sure do conjure up thoughts of Deliverance! This is really some crazy stuff!

It is a shame that poor Brittney was surrounded by these people and am wondering if she somehow found out what this group was up to and lost her life because of it. Or perhaps she was yet another victim of the abuse herself and somehow finally found the courage to defend herself.

If the remains found are Brittney's, I sure hope she is able to somehow tell us her story so that justice can be obtained for her-and her sweet little girl and family.

:Welcome1: TheDuchess!! I am working on your answers now. It's great to have you!!

TheDuchess, with a little help I answered to the best of my knowledge. I hope this helps

1.) If you consider he was about to be arrested for sex crimes/molestation a few hours from the time he was "found" with a bullet in his head, then yes.
2.) Multiple children, multiple offenders, some for the same child(ren), some for others... Billy Brownlee is a "family friend" of the Holland's.
3.) Supporting son in jail for sex crimes and the younger (not accused in sex crimes to date.)
4.) He is probably off-limits for discussion. "P" is fine - no relationship or connection with the Wood or Holland families. The Hanke's have her on a regular basis.
5.) She "floated" from house to house - family & friends but no "real" residence. She was staying/living/based with her mom when she disappeared.
6.) Yes - he is "P's" father. He did not shoot or kill anyone.
7.) The alleged story is that she obtained the gun for "protection from ex-boyfriend(s)". Take that source with a grain of salt but at the same time allow for some potential of truth.
8.) Yes - except for Billy Brownlee as noted above.

Wow...this discovery seems too close for it not to be Brittney. I hope we hear something soon. I want her Dad and Stephanie to have some closure. I am sending prayers up for them as they wait for news/updates.

I feel so strongly that this is Brittney, especially since KlaasKIDS are involved. I, too, wonder if -- if it IS her -- if the remains will tell us anything about how she died. I've always felt that even if her body was found, we still wouldn't know any more about what happened to her than we already do.

If Donnie did kill her, why? They were buddies. Milkman and the Milkmall. I just can't fathom what happened.
