WKRG's FB reports some hunters found a skull with what appears to be a gunshot wound in Baldwin County www.facebook.com/WKRG.News.5 It looks like it's been there awhile though

There is a thread for this UID in the Unidentified forum. I posted my observations there (with a caveat that I am not an anthropologist). So this is just an non-expert observation. I don't think this is a white female. I think that it is a black male.

From what little I can see in the photos, I am guessing that this is a black male. I am guessing black based on the rectangular orbits, and male based on the brow ridge and strongly defined cheekbone. The cranial sutures are still very much visible, so I would say the victim is relatively young (or at least not elderly).

The skull found under the Dolly Parton Bridge has been ID'd as Willie E. Baker of Pritchard AL.

Thank you for letting everyone know, CarlK. You were spot on, again.

So have all found remains been accounted for now? I lost track.

O/T and I don't want to distract from Brittney, but as it is a little quiet here at the moment;

There's a young lady in Oregon who hasn't been identified since she was found in 1971. A clue is a class ring she wore, that she scratched her initials on. But I'm wondering if those initials - AL - could stand for Alabama?

As there's lots of Alabama locals here, if any of you do get a minute and think you might recognise a class ring from the 1970's, could you just have a quick glance at the ring? It's a blue, fake mother-of-pearl. The pic's very good.

AFAIK there are no more unidentified remains in the area, Reedus.

Chatty, do you remember where BW's aunt and uncle vacationed in Florida?

Do you think Crestview is too far away to consider? This one is new, found 3/28/2013.

Sounds to me like this might have been a homeless person:
The remains appear to have been in the area for a long time, according to the news release. Police Chief Tony Taylor said the only way officials could tell the remains were human was the skull.

The race, sex and manner of death are not known.

Deteriorated clothing was found on the body. A tent also was found nearby.

That info is lost in my notes! :blushing:

But, IIRC it was Destin.

Oh sweetheart, I hope you are out there somewhere, hoping not to be found, and getting on with a new, and brighter life. (But I am afraid that you are waiting silently somewhere, to be discovered by someone)
In Australia, about twenty percent of orthodontic patients are adults, and I believe in the US this figure is much higher. Brittney's smile looks lovely to me, but I'm sure she knew how to hide the crooked tooth for photos. If she wanted it corrected, that is the right thing for her to do.
Seriously I daydream about seeing an orange "Found Safe" next to your name, Brittney. Yesterday there was one next to Holly's, and I shrieked loudly enough to bring everyone in the house running.
We are thinking of you, Brittney.

So the remains were not Brit?
I dont' know if I should be glad about that or not. :(

I clicked on Holly's because her name came to the top of the home page, and I'd followed her case. The sad, blue face was still next to her name and I just knew what it would mean. I was heartbroken for her poor Mom, who's been searching the streets of Gary on her own. And Holly's little one........then I saw the post! 'Holly found, truly a miracle' from her Mom. :)

And my immediate thought was maybe Brittney can be found too. There's no ration on miracles. I really hope it could happen for her too. Looks like Holly was found after a new detective was finally assigned to the case, who Mom said was very good.

I dont' know if I should be glad about that or not. :(

I think they were only found Friday (the most recent ones) so I guess it may be weeks before any certain ID is made, but the tent and distance do make it sound unlikely to be Brittney. The other two sets of remains have been definitely excluded, I believe.
