I say NO! He had no money did not work, Wendy didn't work. He did not receive disability they were always hitting up Wendy's mom when she got her monthly check. Chessie was helping put food in their house when she got her food stamps for the month, they were behind on all their bills. Payed just enough the keep things on (power, water, etc). The SUV was a Big one a gas gussler and the way he was always on the road I can only imagine that more money went there than anywhere. And he had no ins and massive hospital bills for his heart issues had a new stint put in either the end of 2011 or early 2012. And the word on the street was that he split the sales of the scripts with Brittney for her helping sell them. And it wasn't big money. The word is that he got his pills mid month and I know from the phone company Brittney bought a new sim card $30 and $60 for unlimited mins on 5/16 that's $90 right there I figured she 100-150 a month on the sale of the pills that money LONG gone by 5/30 she smoke $6 a pack cigarettes and I know how she is. She has never been able to hang on to or manage money.

I also believe DH wouldn't have let Brittney leave not with out him! Looking back with what I know now about them, I totally believe he was obsessed with her. Maybe even in his sick way in love with her

Stephanie, thank you so much for posting here and answering our questions and putting up with all of our mis-guided scenarios, not knowing your/their family at all....what you posted here put things into perspective for me. They definitely didn't have a lot of money coming in from pills, as I originally thought.

Do you have any idea what DH's and Brittany's Myspace names might mean? DH's user name was "Milkman" and Brittany's was "Milkmall."

It makes me really sad that she never really had a chance in life. Had she not disappeared, she'd still be a girl barely making it, stuck in a twisted family, with no chance at a happy, healthy life. There are a lot of girls like Brittany out there...sadly faceless and nameless until something bad happens to them.

Here's another post made by One90Proof. On June 6, One90Proof and Scott went to site where DH was found.

BBM - this is the part I think is interesting. "Leads" about what? Suicide?

On our way out, down the road a bit, a Sheriff's patrol car passed us. Scott asked me to turn around to see if the deputy was going to the site of the suicide. He wanted to see if there was any new information. When we got back to the site, a deputy was walking around. RSW got out of my car and approached the officer to ask if there had been any leads. I didn't get out of the car because my daughter called at that moment. Scott told me that the officer wouldn't provide any information and referred him to a dept. (I've forgotten which) at the Sheriff's Office.

Very interesting indeed! Doesn't someone hanging around a crime scene, trying to gain information often raise a red flag with LE?

It obviously didn't in this case because LE determined it was a suicide, not foul play.

  • #666
One would think. I wonder what he was really trying to find. This makes me a little more curious of it wasn't a suicide after all and Scott is knee deep in it all the way around :twocents:

Very interesting indeed!! Why would there be leads in a suicide?:waitasec:

Interesting isn't even the word for it. I went back and looked at that post by 99proof he said this happened on June 6th it wasn't until the evening of June 6th around 6-7 that we got the info from Brittney's phone records saying that DH picked Brittney up. And Scott was there at Chessie's we all were when LE came and told us. Then the following day was our first group search in Styx (the one that WKRG aired).

So yes why ask if any new leads in a sucide? It was deamed self inflicted before DH had even expired on June 4th.

Another thing that is odd is how quiet and off the radar Scott is. Something is just not right with that whole situation. I can't wait until his court hearing.

No, sadly I can not remember her Myspace name. I was friends with her on Myspace way back when I can't even remember my sign on or password or the email I was using then. I wish I could find it. There are pictures there I'm sure I would like to copy.

I agree, he went WAY under ground when he was bonded out of jail. Wally once PM'd him through FB asking if he would be willing to shows us his phone records for the time before and right after Brittney's disappearance so he could be atleast cleared in our minds. He responded with his lawyer's name and number.

Well that was not very innocent of him!:notgood:

I think the trials might provide some really strong clues to what happened you know. I hope so. Lawyers are going to be looking out for their own clients and won't have the family loyalties.

I've got no idea how it will work though. Will they all be tried together? Or will different victims mean different trials? I know sometimes in other countries if one person is found guilty, it is kept a secret to avoid prejudicing the other trials. Does that ever happen in AL?

I'm not familiar with Alabama law, but I'd be surprised if an actual guilty verdict is kept a secret. The judge could place a gag order on the trial as it is ongoing to prevent the lawyers/parties from talking about the case, particularly to the media. I would also imagine that whether or not guilty verdicts can be introduced into evidence in subsequent trials will be hotly contested by both sides. Some of that will probably depend on how the charges are crafted.

Wow. For someone who was trying to put on the face that he was out in front of the search for Brittney right off the bat, that puts a whole new spin on RSW IMHO.

I would be curious to hear from one90proof again now that so much more has come to light. I know he was standing by his friend as innocent until proven guilty, but I wonder if any of that has changed as more information/charges have come forward and if he has anything more to add at this point.

RSW was the Geocacher, wasn't he? And physically fit and strong because he was in the territorial army or something?

Bob's search and rescue thread has just taken off with the geocaching thing and the number of caches are amazing. I guess if you did this on a regular basis you would get to know the landscape around you pretty well, and all the best places for hiding things.

Just trying to get a better idea of the quiet one...

He is an avid geocacher and would have no problem at all walking through dense woods, swamps, all terrain, etc. Makes my head spin thinking of it.

It's possible. I know for an absolute FACT that this has occurred at the Grand Bay truck stop/biker bar across the bridge from the truck stop (not sure if it is still there, I think it was called 'The Broke Spoke'). bikers and truckers were involved.

It's closed down now and was closed down at the time Brittney disappeared. We actually used the parking lot for a command center for searches.

The way this family is sticking up for each other I do not see them hurting Brittney. I do not think DH would harm her or sell her. As despicable as they are there is some form of family code or bond here. As I see it they did not want her to go to jail along with them and had someone drive her away.
But that's just my opinion. At least my theory has her alive.

They do stick up for each other, the adults anyway. The children are disposable to them IMO. Look at how the maternal gma did Britt in the trial and the children/victims involved have all been called liars by their own parents from what I was told WWH said almost word for word about her own child when questioned by LE that was said about Britt in that trial by gma.

I do LOVE the idea of her being alive. I just want to make sure that y'all see there's a difference between the way the adults stick together and toss the children aside.

I do remember that Derrick's Myspace contained some photos of Brittney and her brother and brother's girlfriend -- photos that were incredibly risque and sexual in tone. It baffled all of us at the time...no one could imagine taking photos of their sibling acting provocatively with fruit, etc...as soon as I saw them, I wondered what on earth was going on.

Were either Britt or DH & any of his family members involved with meth or meth users to your knowledge?

We know about DH and the pills, but are any of these players linked to a meth ring as well?

I just ask because I read when Derek was arreseted, LE found a meth lab in the home he was in, so I assume that they (or at least) knows someone with meth connections.
Per http://www.fox10tv.com/dpp/news/local_news/mobile_county/search-for-derek-wood-leads-to-meth-lab

There were rumors that Brittney did do meth. IDK if it's so I know that she loved (in her words) pot. But I never heard that DH did meth or WWH come to think of it I never heard of WWH doing any kind of drug I guess pedophilia/torture was her dope. I only heard of DH doing pills and not many he was more in to selling them. Britt messed with pills also.
Now there are other members of the maternal family that do meth I have heard. And seems they all like pot.
