Unbelievable! I can see making yourself take the younger children trick or treating despite your anguish/despair over your missing daughter.

I didn't think I could be shocked anymore by this case, but I am. Those Halloween photos.....does CW just not care, or is she so lacking in dignity and awareness she just doesn't realize it shows a complete lack of respect for her missing daughter to put 'fun' gravestones in the yard, just five months since Brittney disappeared?

I thought there was something very wrong with WWH in court; her reactions were inappropriate and she seemed 'detached' from the whole seriousness of the event. Now I'm thinking whatever WWH has, CW might have too.

I'd far rather see ribbons on trees, or posters in windows or cars - that lets the world know Brittney still needs to be found!!

*The missing 13-year-old Maria we have here in Germany (taken off by a 53-year-old married man); her mom just received a beautiful, beautiful letter. It was a little clumsy, like CW's memorial, but....it was written by a seven-year-old, whose mom helped her. It was to Santa, and she offered to give up her Christmas present if Maria could come home. And asked God to send her home too, 'because Maria is not a naughty girl, she is good, like me'.

That was a simple tribute from a little stranger that didn't cost anything. But it was so, so moving. Gestures don't have to be 'grand' and showy, as long as they're well-meant.

I think we have all gotten a pretty good idea of the twins character. I was wondering if Steph or Zeaux could give us their impressions of some of the other individuals, just in a general sense. Do they come off as smart? Quiet? Outgoing? Violent? Slow? A leader or follower? Just a general sense if you can.

I think Zeaux may have just said something about Scott apparently coming off as fairly bright. Was he a quiet type as he seems to me? I know the interaction with the others might be slim to none, but if you have any general observations about Kent, Brownlee or any of the others, it would be much appreciated.

I know just from reading, Dustin seems "off" to me in some way. Creepy in almost a childish sort of way. Brownlee seems like he'd hang out in the shadows of the group to me, but that might just be because we haven't heard much, if anything from him. What about Paul Jr.? In many ways, he seems like some of the others closer to his age, caught between victim and perpetrator. A teen that likes to party and probably has little concern for others, outside of his family at least.

Dustin has always made me feel a little sick, there is just something not normal about him and the pictures on myspace/fb creep me out. I often wonder if he is 'slow' (not PC but i can't think how to word it right now!)

Brownlee seems like an opportunist to me, takes what he can, when he can.

Paul Jr... I think he goes through periods of regret but ultimately feels like he is a victim. Some of his online activity shows some remorse for the things he has done in his life but ultimately i don't think he truly believes he has done anything wrong. He feels he has been wronged - if anything.

I've personally never met any of the Wood or Holland family members. My opinions have been based on the same observations as all of you, with extra info from Stephanie. Scott knows how to write in complete sentences, which is more than I can say for any of the Wood sisters! It doesn't take much to be labeled the brains of that family.

I agree that Dustin appears like a simpleton, as my grandmother used to say. Sorry, that's not PC either, but I'm really tired and that's all that came to mind.

Paul Jr. I see as similar to Derek--screwed up punk who didn't get a fair chance at being normal due to those sick bastards who abused them. That's just my opinion.

It does make me feel guilty laughing about the memorial, but it is too horrible, and fabvab is too funny!
My guilt is eased to a great extent by the fake gravestones. It is inconceivable that CW is that clueless. (If anybody else had done it, it would have been seen as an act of extreme cruelty, surely?) I was under the impression that CW two little children are very young- surely they could have missed a year decorating the garden without too much hardship? If their big sister is deceased, then in years to come surely they would look back and wonder what was going on here?

Ok...so in the future there will be no big white rock cause it will disintegrate due to rain. It will be a white ashy looking lump and will look like all the ashes from the smokers cigs too.

The bench is nice...but otherwise, it appears that the dollar store threw up on the front lawn.

I still say they should have planted a tree, A beautiful weeping cherry tree and the bench. Leave stones there for ppl to write they name or thought on and place it under the tree.

I picture chessie & the twins all standing in front of the computer poking & jibbing & slappy like the 3 stooges. If it wer'nt for the fact that we are discussing Brittney being alive and her young female cousins being sexual abused, this would b a joke.
Steph or anyone, can you tell us what the wood/holland family were acting like the 4 months preceeding Brittney "diasappearing"? Did the whole family know about the sexring after the indictment or before? How did all the players act at Easter? I know it's an ongoing investiagtion, just wonder if the entire family was arguing, discussing what was going on. And if the pending charges were knowledge, how did evryone interact after that? I figure the holland/woods clan kept close & tight. I wonder what the outside members were saying in Jan.-end of AprIl? Was there noticable tension or out right accusations? Did it all click once the charges were filed? tia.

Remember the Thanksgiving fight? A car being driven through the lawn...and tools being used as weapons? I think DW had lacerations to his face?

Was this the Thanksgiving 2011, right before Brittney's disappearance? Or was it after she disappeared? I wonder what that fight was about.
