I do remember the stories changing ,,,didn't she call and Wendy told her DH wasn't there that he was at styx and she would have to get her own ride there?

I am just remembering s many different versions of this story!

I think *I'm* remembering things wrong. I've read just recently that both of their phones pinged in Grand Bay, but what I just posted contradicts that. There was a map on one of the news websites pointing out everywhere her phone pinged and where DH's did...I wish I could remember where I saw it.

It really is hard to keep all of the facts and stories straight.

Hello everyone. I am coming out of lurking so I can post on this case. I have spent the last week or so reading everything public on here about Brittney. This mess boggles my mind and makes me so, so angry!! I pray for her to be found soon (whatever the circumstances may be, but hopefully safe and alive). Her dad and stepmom need some closure about what has happened to this young woman. Her daughter should not have to grow up with questions surrounding her mom's disappearance and the sex abuse crimes.

Anyway. This is my very first post and I just want to say that you all are so encouraging and I am happy to be a part of this forum. There are some incredible people with HUGE hearts behind your screen names!!

One person I've wondered about a lot in all of this is MWK. Seems she got temp. custody of Chessie's youngest kids after they were born with drugs in their systems, and hasn't been implicated in any of the crimes yet...could she be the lone innocent one in all of this?

PH Jr.'s fb is public and he seems to be getting on just fine. Hanging out with friends, posting things often...it's odd but not surprising to me slomehow.

I just wonder often how the ones out of jail are faring. What could RSW be thinking these days? He seemed like the only clear voice of reason...and he's the one who reported the abuse, yet he was arrested for being a part of it. No details have been released about his specific crimes, have they?

I also want to bring something else up again: I wish we could get a copy of DH's autopsy report. I'm dying to know if there were cuts, scratches or bruises on him, and if there was gun powder residue on his hand.

If you search Brittney Wood and Scared Monkeys, they still have screenshots of ALL of that, cute doctor included. The arguments about cell phone records and who was cracking passwords and whatnot. I was actually just reading them yesterday!

It helped me some to go back through the thread a bit for pieces that I'd forgotten. This is one tangled web, all right.

"Neighbor Laura Payne says she saw Brittney at the house sitting in a tree swing. 'She had the same body type, the same hair and she just sat there. She didn't move or nothing. She looked over at me and I waved at her and she didn't wave back.'"

I personally think that that WAS Brittney. ETA: I wonder what time she saw her?

There are many things that stand out to me as strange about this entire situation. One thing that I can't get out of my mind is one of WWH's posts when DH was in the hospital. I know the Doctor/hug statement may come to most people first. There is another thing she wrote that jumps out to me, and has bothered me since the first time I read it. I have been around when someone is nearing death several times, and I realize when family members are under stress they may say something that sounds odd. However, I have never heard anything even remotely close to this statement by WWH:

They aren't going to do nothing else....he still getting oxygen if he goes he goes....keep the prayers coming

If he goes, he goes?

Am I just overreacting to what I think is a a very callous statement about a spouse? Please let me know -- maybe I can turn this loose.

I get the impression from Steph and what Mr Klaas said, that there just isn't any money to spare in the family, to support someone in hiding.

Though having said that, some members have been able to post large amounts of bail.....

The thing I can't see, is why Brittney would stay in hiding when police have clearly stated she is not wanted for any crime?

IMO, and I think Brittney would feel the same way, just because LE says you are not wanted for any crime, it does not necessarily mean it's true. And isn't Chessie the one that claimed she wasn't in any trouble? Has LE actually said she wasn't?

I know, right??! I think that girl was Brittney; the neighbor woman sure seemed positive of it. I don't know how they came up with, "Oh, it was a girl who looked like Brittney." Hanging out on a tire swing on someone else's property?? I just really don't think so.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I sure would NEVER say that if my husband were on life support and about to die. Feels like WH didn't care if he died or not, or it was beneficial to her if he did. Just a feeling.

Thanks for posting this yet again! I always get confused between concurrently and consecutively, but if a person was found guilty on all of their charges, would they have to serve time for all the offences, or just for the one with the longest prison term? So, for example, would Chessie get ten years AND ten years AND two to twenty, or just two to twenty?

Hope that makes sense.

Sorry I missed this and not sure if it was already answered. If a person is found guilty of three charges and sentenced to 5 years on charge 1, 10 years on charge 2 and 10 years on charge 3, the Judge will have the option of making those sentences concurrent or consecutive. If he makes them consecutive, that person would serve 5 years for charge 1, once that term was up they would begin to serve the 10 years for charge 2. Again, once it was up, they would begin to serve the 10 years for charge 3. If the judge makes them concurrent, then that person is serving all 3 of those sentences at the same time and will essentially serve 10 years. Under that scenario, the clock starts ticking on all 3 charges the first day they go in so after 5 years, they will have served their term for charge 1 but will have 5 more years to go on charges 2 and 3. Once those additional 5 years are up (total of 10), then they will have fully served there sentence on all charges.
