What cute doctor would take a second look at her?
Dr Kermit the Frog? LOL anyone catch my drift?

BBM

Didn't she say he gave her a hug? I have always wondered about that hug.
Can't really see that, even as a "sympathy hug".

Anybody having any part in messing with children and stealing their innocence for selfish reasons is perverted and repulsive to me. It's not cute. Have some shame.

It is repulsive to me that children are messed with at all. I have never understood some of the actions and comments that took place after DH was found shot. As I have stated before, the "If he goes, he goes", statement by WH amazed me. I can not ever remember hearing a more callous statement under the circumstances, so I guess her talk about a cute doctor shouldn't surprise me.

There is nothing, nothing, anyone can do to give back to those children what has been lost. My heart aches as I remember what Brittney went through with grandma's boyfriend, at the trial, and afterward. I just can't go back and read it, but if I remember correctly, she said something along the line of she would never do it (go to court) again.

No one can "fix" that.

...Brittney, where ever you are, we love you.

Steph, could you please tell us more about the Styx River setting? Are there several homes there? Are they close enough that neighbors would be aware of comings and goings? Wasn't Donnie staying with friends? Were the owners of the house home that night? Have they said if Brittney was there?

Wendy admits to being there the next night June 1.

I had the address once but I've since misplaced it. I used the google man to explore the neighborhood and IIRC there were a only handful of cabins, trailers and houses.

Sometimes I feel like the sex crimes are a red herring. Something else was going on.

Thanks!

Sometimes I feel like Donnie's death was not a suicide, but a murder. I feel like there was something else going on, too. MOO, of course.

After all this time, JMO, I still think there's a 40% chance Brittney is still alive. What do you all think?

Keeping Brittney in my prayers.

I afraid I'm thinking somewhere down in the 10% range of BW being alive. JMO - hope I'm wrong.

Too many seriously wrong things going on with this family - shared, nasty hobbies with some stiff legal consequences. JMO

There is a part of me that WANTS Brittney to be alive so badly I look for theories that support it.

With that said, the fact Brittney made certain her daughter was in a safe home tells me how much she loved P. There is no doubt I would have done the exact same thing if I didn't have a secure home for my child, no matter what the reason for not having one. In fact, I was in a "situation" where my child was not safe. (DV) My son went to his father's home, and stayed there until I rectified my home life. Which involved a move to the south. I can't think of a greater fear than worrying about your child being harmed. Until one is actually in that position it may be hard to understand.

Think about this: had Brittney not have placed her daughter in a safe environment, is it possible P could have been harmed also? So I feel Brittney saved her child out of love. And, due to the 'suicide timing' I fear Brittney was harmed. She would not stay away from her daughter willingly is my opinion.

I dont see Brittney as a bad person. I see a victim that never had a chance.

So heartbreaking.

I think dh had been doing something to her all along. He was a part of the family when Brittney was abused at 9. He "dated" most of the sisters. The way I've read it, it seems the sisters along w/ their mother are always around each other, living w/ or hanging out at one of thier homes. Brittney was a known figure at the styx river house. I would almost say the grandmother is the head of the line as far as knowing & allowing this to happen in her home, with her girls & her granddaughters. I still want to know if the faux convicted grandpa is who brought dh into the house when the woods girls were younger, my feeling is the abuse was going on then. It was'nt until Brittneys group got to the victim/perp stage (18 yrs old)that they went after some of the younger girls such as the victim in this case.
Imo Brittney was as bad as they made her be. How could she be anything but after a lifetime of this?? I almost would say the same for the wood sisters except I figure once you've been victimized like that one of you would try to escape or tell on them.they did'nt. They chose to contniue to participate &harm their own children for what? The fun? The drugs? imo

I know that is what they want us to believe, but it still doesn't make sense to me.

What was his purpose in getting rid of Brittney then? Why would he go after her specifically? She wasn't the victim that came forth. Then, he goes and kills himself anyways. He doesn't strike me as a remorseful man who'd kill himself because he hurt someone. Why use her little gun?

Why hasn't Brittney been found?

Because she is NOT there!
She does NOT want to be found!

How noble of him. Why was she the only one he chose to protect? Or why would her leaving be a protection for the others?

Plenty of questions here.

I think they are nasty and deviant,,,repulsive comes to mind also but I don't think they are killers! JMO
They did what they did and im sure it has been going on for generations...this group just got caught!

Like I keep saying....
I think he told and helped Brit leave the area and then he came back and tried to end his life..I don't think he would have survived prison. He knew it.
But that's just my :twocents:

I don't think he wanted her to face prison time like the rest of them...
He knew LE was looking for her. She was a young woman hanging with al these deviant perverts!
Well was it NOBLE of him? who knows if it got her out of jail hell yes!

Do u think he cared about these men that were arrested?
That's up for debate too...He killed himself he did not rat them out did he?
Britis gone she didn't rat either. Funny the 2 that were sought for questioning are gone... I don't think she is dead,,,
I still think DH might be her father... guess I will never know the ans to that question...
