Tuscaloosa County authorities searching for missing person

TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, Ala. — The Sipsey Valley Volunteer Fire Department and Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office are looking for Carson Sanford.

Sanford was last seen in the Syrup Mill Road area near the Fayette County line Monday morning around 8:00 a.m.

Still no age listed, but here is his moms Facebook post about finding his truck and hat and calling on locals with atv’s to help search the area near where his truck is found. Don’t know if I am allowed to post this so will try to find MSM with the same info.

Officials and volunteers are searching for a Sipsey Valley High School senior last seen early Monday morning near his family’s camp house.

Carson Sanford was last seen at 8 a.m. Monday on Syrup Mill Road, in northern Tuscaloosa near the Fayette County line.

Family members say they located his truck and found his hat in the woods near their camp house. Volunteers showed up after daybreak Tuesday to help search the area with four-wheelers and on foot.

Buhl where he is from and attends high school is WNW of the city of Tuscaloosa and the place he where his truck was found was a good bit north of Tuscaloosa in what looks like the middle of nowhere. I think I also read that there is no or limitled cell service in the area they are searching.
