Mexico has ramped up since covid out west here anyway. They were pretty much stopping everybody on way down to Rocky Point. I'd call it even currently. But true, just 3-4 years ago pretty easy to slip over.
We walked across the bridge at Tijuana in March and didn't even get passports run through a computer or stamped. They herded us into a little room and asked why we were entering and for how long, kind of grunted, then let us go. We were a family of 4 with giant suitcases. Luckily we weren't criminals or involved in a custody dispute or anything.

Yeah, I wonder if they’ll get Vicky for more counts than they could pin on Toby. Toby was just a volunteer who snuck the inmate out on a dog crate. Vicky is an officer who seemingly forged a false document, broke government policy and led him out in her patrol car, using aliases (and likely used false IDs to go with one if she bought a car). Vicky seems to be making weapons available to a felon too, while I think Tony only gave him a cell phone and money.

If you want to read a longer piece on Toby though, check out this piece: The True Story of the Married Woman Who Smuggled Her Boyfriend Out of Prison in a Dog Crate
That article made me mad. She makes it sound like we are all like her. That females should not work with inmates because we're easily duped or led astray. I have news for you, lady. We aren't all like you. When an inmate approached me with that "Oh, your hair looks nice today!" nonsense my go-to response was, "Is there something I can help you with? If not, move along." I didn't joke with them. I didn't make small talk with them. I wasn't mean, but it's not summer camp. It's freaking prison. You don't go there to find a boyfriend or to chit-chat.

LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. (WAFF) - The search for former Lauderdale County Assistant Director of Corrections Vicky White, and inmate Casey White has entered its 7th day. As investigators sift through surveillance video and hundreds of tips, WAFF has also learned a 14-year-old case that could be connected to Casey, will now be re-examined.

The case involves Christy Shelton. Her family said they’ve always had questions about Casey White and what role he might’ve played in Christy’s death. They said Christy used to date Casey White, and that Casey was there when Christy was shot in the chest with a sawed-off shotgun. At the time, it was ruled a suicide. However, her family never believed that story and always had doubts.

Considering his history of murder, and the threats he’s made to the ex-girlfriend, it’s not a stretch to think he murdered this one and staged it as a suicide.

I believe since Covid has cooled a bit, Mexico is much more open now.

She still has her police radio.

I read that when the orange SUV was found VW's handcuffs, jail keys and radio were found in the ca.

Her former co-worker says she looks 75 years old from constant tanning. Also he said no one was surprised at her actions.

Video;
Vicky looks old

Sorry, I did skip most of the Thread 2 now that the car has been found. Did anybody in sleuthing notice any TN connection for either of them. The NY Post article cites a Marshall saying, that they "know" they had a reason to head to TN. THANKS.

Just that CW has criminal history in middle TN. He might have family/friends around there but to my knowledge that's not been made public.

In the video I posted a few minutes ago, it is also stated that she could be pushing him in a wheelchair. I saw a lot of speculation in Facebook posts about that days and days ago.

I have read that they were found in the SUV and that they were found in the patrol car. I think we are running into some confusion here because some of these news reports are just poorly done!

So many posts to catch up on! I’m finally here!

1) I wonder if filing the paperwork for her retirement was a back up plan. If things went sideways she could claim that she was kidnapped and forced to let him go on the drive to the courthouse. Admittedly not a good plan, as there was no doctors appointment. And clearly she has a radio in the car and knows now that the police know she is involved via news reports. But perhaps this was the thinking prior to this plan to break out an inmate.

2) as a Canadian close to the border, I can attest that it is not that hard to get across the border in parts. I’m west coast, but I imagine it is the same everywhere. There is a lot of land, many trees, and though they are patrolled and there are cameras, it’s still possible. I would assume more so than between the USA and Mexico. If you waited till night, found the right spot, and went fast, it’s possible. I won’t go into details but a friends son recently crossed over on a mission to run away and commit suicide. He was sadly successful in both endeavours. So crossing is possible.

I am in the camp that believes it is just the two of them in on it. I think adding another party into this tangled web of a situation would only make things exponentially worse and more complicated for them. I also think that, while the reward money being offered for their return isn't comparatively very much, it would likely be enough for someone assisting them to turn them in. Yes, Casey surely knew a lot of sketchy people, and it's looking more and more likely that Vicky did too, but I don't think those people played a role in the escape.

I also believe it is more likely that both are alive at this point. I don't think either of them are planning on dying, and I don't buy the suicide by cop narrative. I think Casey would be more likely to keep Vicky alive, because he is likely completely reliant on her to keep hidden. She was/is more than likely the source of all their resources. She bought the getaway decoy car, <modsnip - rumor>, she withdrew a whole bunch of money, she would have been the one to get food, clothes, gasoline, etc. Sure, he could take the money from her, but IMO, there isn't a chance he could survive long without her. He couldn't just stroll into town and gas up the car or pick up some groceries without being recognized - she, on the other hand, even with the mockups of her with dark hair being circulated, would be easy to overlook. I mean, the man is almost seven feet tall, eyeballs tattooed on the back of his head, covered with white supremacist tattoos, and those ears!

I think the orange car was the decoy car and they ditched it to hop into a car Vicky had pre-prepared nearby at the abandonment site loaded with food, clothes, gasoline, etc. What I am going back and forth on is the spray painting of the decoy car. It was (very poorly) painted a sort of unusual dark army green. Camouflage sounds logical, but that would not camouflage with the area the car was recovered in from what I've seen. My theory of the moment is that perhaps they dumped it, and initially planned on spray painting it to make it a less forgettable color (but not to camouflage it), but realized it took a lot longer than expected to spray paint the entire car, and gave up before taking off. I also have to wonder - and I know this might be a weird thought, but - maybe they started huffing the spray paint midway through and lost interest in it? Just a thought LOL.

Need to catch up on the threads since the update.

He went on a huge crime spree on Giles County, TN in 2015. Shot a dog, threatened people, tried to hijack a semi, shot a woman while trying to take her car…

It makes you wonder how she could possibly overlook such a history as he has.

I could not agree with this theory more.

Agreed. Tijuana is one of places known for inconsistency and ease getting across.

This seems so strange. Why wouldn't she have bought him clothing BEFORE the escape?
I think to make sure he had clothes once he was out. He needed them.

Right? Did I mention he got 6 years for attacking a male relative with an ax in 2010? Or that they’re re-investigating whether his ex really committed suicide or if there was foul play when she died via a sawed off shot gun while he was present in 2008? He’s the gift that keeps on giving.
