I am from Mobile originally so this case caught my eye. I grew up in a neighborhood near Cottage Hill Park, but have family in Northern Mobile County where Citronelle is located. I have been trying to talk to one cousin in particular that seems to know a lot of people in that area, but other than a three degree separation from his GF to my cousin on Face Book, I really got nothing of any value.

Have there been any coordinated searches? Has anyone requested his phone records to pinpoint his last location? Has anyone invited her to come here and discuss him? My family in Mobile seemed to be aware of his case, but I think that if nothing new turns up that it will fade away.

It's been two weeks since Charles "Bubba" Jackson went missing near Mobile, now the the 33-year-old's family fears he may be dead.

"Obviously, we want great news, but we want to find him regardless, whether it's good or bad news," said his sister Kisha Logan, "we just want to find him."

I feel horrible for Bubba's sister. She is blaming herself on her FB and begging him to come home. It just breaks my heart.

I hope she realizes that siblings/families argue and we say things we don't mean sometimes and it's not her fault that he's missing. That poor lady.

Nearly one month after a man sent a text message which said "help" and vanished, police reached out to the public to find another man who may have seen him the day he disappeared.

Officers said Billie Joe Turner, 36, is wanted as a person of interest in the disappearance of Charles "Bubba" Jackson, 33.

The article says Turner may frequent the intersection where Jackson was last seen and he's not a suspect, but the post on the missing page is more definitive, saying Turner was the last person with Bubba on the day he disappeared.

Question: during this long trek, was he in contact with the gf letting her know where he was or that he stopped anywhere? Seems odd if he was trying to get to her that he wouldn't keep her posted on his progress. That's such a long way to try to walk. I think she would have been very concerned for him.

I don't even know if LE questioned BJ Turner when they had him in custody. What's up with the silence on this case?

Billie Joe Turner is someone LE wanted to question wrt Bubba's disappearance. They arrested him for possession on the 23rd, and I hope they got some info from him.

His sister breaks my heart. You can tell it's killing her. I hope he comes home safe.

Well I feel just terrible. Really terrible. I just read on KL's FB that she feels like we've trashed her here. I think the direct way of running through facts and working through scenarios have been misinterpreted as unkind and accusatory. That is so not the case, but if I made someone already in as much pain as she is in feel even worse, then I don't know if I'm helping or hurting here. If I'm adding to the burden of the family, the very people I want to help, in anyway at all then I can't continue.

She was offended by the question about gang tattoos, and perhaps by the questions about her argument with Bubba before he disappeared. She is really suffering and my heart goes out to her.

I'm just reading this case for the first time. So many thoughts going through my head. I'm not from the Mobile area, but have traveled around and through for most of my life. I'm familiar with that Schillinger Rd area.

My thoughts go immediately to heat stress. Especially if he had been drinking. I'm a distance runner in the Deep South so I have lots of experience with heat stress and dehydration, or the prevention of it. If he was out walking this great distance in the heat of the day, he would have to have had water and lots of it. Without it, certain distress. But even with a water supply, he could have still gotten into trouble. I interpret the text about "passing out" to be related to heat stress. You can get terribly muddled thinking when this occurs and you can keep walking but make terrible choices because your mind isn't working properly. It makes me wonder about him possibly wandering off in a direction where they might not think of looking.

In addition to needing water, you would also need carbs or sugar to keep going and keep a clear head. It's basic to my running in the Mississippi summer heat. I have no idea whether he had any water or food with him. I have literally gone on 20 and 22 mile runs in the heat training for a marathon and 30 miles, even walking, just makes me cringe and worry for him. Even in May it gets pretty darn hot down here.

These are just my random thoughts after reading this case for the first time. Bless his family. I sure hope they can find him. Or at least find out what happened to him.

I am worried for Mr. Jackson. Not liking where my thoughts are going. And, seeing that his sister has read here causes me to be reserved in sharing. I am afraid he may have harmed himself, but of course I don't know him and perhaps there is no chance of that so I am probably wrong. I hope the local LE are conducting searches. If the text was indeed him then he was surely asking for help.
