Oh, I see the confusion. Plumeria asked in Post #123 where the GF lives. I believe kjl's post was answering that question.

Okie, can you provide a link for the map so we can see the street views?
TY!

Welcome, kjl. Sorry that you have to be here under these circumstances. I just caught up on the thread and I have a question, if you know.
Did LE question BJT when he was in custody?

heres mine, I think I have it right now

on mine:
A is the gas station
B is the first phone ping
C is the last phone ping/location of the 'help' text
D is the GF's house where he was originally headed to.

Like so?

The only exact location I have is the Circle K at A. The ones at B and C are more of a general area, I think.

Check this out:

The cell tower is dead center between Hwy 45 that heads up the GF's house and Moffett where he started out from the gas station. I don't know much about cell phone towers, but do you think this means he could've been on either of these roads?

Thanks, you two! I was trying to visualize what type of area the last ping came from. I will take Google man for a ride later!

Well what is everyone thinking?

I'm thinking about the research I did today and the lack of information I found. :gaah: You were trying to get a 4 wheeler to do some searching. I'm guessing it was in some backwoods somewhere near the last ping and text?

  • #153
Yea something like that.

Well what is everyone thinking?

I'm thinking it is possible only his phone traveled to D.

ETA: thanks for the updated maps everyone!

I'm thinking you need help to search for Bubba. It's too big of a job to handle on your own. This is the website of Lower Alabama Search and Rescue:

http://www.lasar.net/

I have no personal experience with SAR and maybe someone else can give more specific advice, but I believe the investigating LE agency has to make the request for a search. And I think it's up to you to get LE to make that request.

You need to be in regular contact with the investigators on Bubba's case. Not in an obnoxious, in-your-face way, but be persistent. Let them know you aren't going away until Bubba is found. Make sure he is in the front of their minds on a regular basis.

Organize vigils on the 23rd of every month. Make sure his children are there. Give the media something to report on, to remind everyone that Bubba is still missing.

Social media is a great tool, and you need to make the most of it. Get Bubba's flyer out to every missing persons group on Facebook to get his face and name shared far and wide. Post his flyer on any community groups in your area. Ask people to share it and keep sharing it.

Keep Bubba's missing page active and constantly updated. Give visitors a reason to keep coming back. Let them know about progress or lack of progress in the case. Let them know what they can do to help. Ask people who live in the area of Bubba's last phone pings to check creeks, ponds, woods, and fields near their homes.

Consider starting an online funding account to hire a private investigator, if you feel like LE isn't doing enough to find Bubba.

I think you are on to something. And not only that, I don't think Bubba sent the "help" text. If it was foul play then whomever is responsible could have known Bubba well enough to know his contacts on his phone and could have easily sent that "Help" text himself. Otherwise I think Bubba would have written initials of who had him or something other than just the word "Help".
