Chris Harrison was last seen in Coffee County on July 11th. The family says he has not withdrawn money from the bank or used his cell phone.

The disappearance is hitting the nine year old son, Ethan, especially hard. The family knew something was seriously wrong when Chris never called Ethan for his ninth birthday.

The family is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to finding Chris Harrison.

The article states he went missing from Elba. It's actually a bit misleading. He was last seen at the Crossroad Marathon station. It's located in a very rural area that just happens to have an Elba mailing address. This is a rather isolated area. It's a crossroads. The Marathon is on one corner, a Dollar General on another, with an empty house, and a closed store building on the other two. The two hwys that meet there, state hwys 134(E&W) and 87(N&S) are heavily traveled. Especially in the summer as 87 is a main thoroughfare for beach traffic. That makes the Marathon a very busy place. Both for locals and tourists. He could have gotten a ride with either, traveling to another area, or meeting with his demise. The article I read stated he was looking for a ride to Geneva County.

I tried to find the article that stated he was last seen at the Marathon but was unable to do so.
