This is probably Brenda Thompson who went missing from Florence, AL last week. Her car was found on the O'Neal Bridge, and LE has been searching the river.

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama — Authorities have identified a woman's body found on a Tennessee River bank as that of Brenda Taylor Thompson, who has been missing for more than a week.

Florence police detective Keith Johnson tells the Florence TimesDaily that forensic scientists used a photo for facial recognition to make the determination. The body had been found Sunday afternoon near the Natchez Trace Bridge in Colbert County.

The 55-year-old Florence woman was reported missing Dec. 3 when the Chevrolet Tahoe registered to her was discovered abandoned on O'Neal Bridge just after 5 a.m. Authorities said the engine was running when it was found.

Johnson said the cause of her death is not yet known.
