MPD searching for missing 20-year-old

On Friday, October 28, 2016, Dayshunda Sankey was reported missing. She was last seen on September 9, 2016 walking with a friend in the area of Mobile Highway and Fairview Avenue. Investigators advise that she has not been seen or heard from since.

She was reported missing on Oct. 28 when family and friends hadn't heard from her.

Sankey is black, weighs about 110 pounds and is 5-foot 6 inches tall. She has the name "Jermaine" tattooed on her right wrist.

No other details about her disappearance were released.

Sankey has two children under age 2.

"It is not like her to not come around like this," said Gloria Sankey, Dayshunda's cousin. "She always makes sure her family knows she is safe. It just hurts us in our heart. I just pray to God because it has been so long and it has been emotional for me sometimes. Something is wrong."

I'm thinking she may have been found...she's not in NamUs, nor is there anything online after the initial 2016 alerts.

She is still missing and her family has asked a group on Facebook “Black and Missing but not Forgotten” for assistance in locating her. I’m not sure why she’s not entered in NamUs.
