ANNISTON, Ala. — The Anniston Police Department has issued a message from the family of Deangelo “Dee” Allen which is offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to his location.

He was last heard from around 5 a.m. on Sept. 21, 2022, and last seen in the 1000 block of Old Coldwater Road in Anniston.

He is 6 feet, 1 inch in height, weighing 175-190 pounds. He also has several tattoos.

The family says it is not like him to go for so long without contacting them and they fear foul play has caused his disappearance.

ANNISTON, Ala. (WBRC) - Investigators with the Anniston Police Department say two arrests have been made in the murder of 31-year-old Deangelo Allen who has been missing for eight months.

Police say 25-year-old Gavin Snider and 50-year-old Keither Snider were arrested May 5 and charged with murder.

No remains have been found at this time.

According to the warrants against the Sniders made public this week, Allen was shot to death sometime between Sept. 15 and Sept. 30.

A press release issued by Sgt. Jason Hawkins said only that the murder charges were made “through continued efforts of Anniston Police investigators, the 7th Judicial Major Crimes Unit, and the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Ford.”

Other records indicate that the victim knew the suspect.

Keither Snider in 2022 sought and obtained a Protection from Abuse order against Allen, claiming physical abuse and threats of violence. That order was set to expire July 11, 2023.
