I did not find anything to suggest this case has been solved. There was an 11th-anniversary article published but other than that I didn't see any other follow-up. I had an entire write-up of the case to go along with the articles, but I inadvertently refreshed my screen and lost everything so you'll have to read through them like I did. Lesson learned.
