Polly Hopper, Jessie Hopper, Sr. and Jr. are facing federal charges, accused of kidnapping a woman and 2 children in Arkansas and taking them to New Mexico. We first reported about them in January 2013, when they were living in Wilmer and questioned about the disappearance of an elderly Arkansas man, who has never been found...

Garland Ford’s daughter, Karen, says her father moved from Arkansas with the Hoppers. “He couldn’t tell us where he was, he never said he wouldn’t, he said 'I can’t, but I’ll be back,'” she told FOX10 News...

Mobile County Sheriff Sam Cochran believes the Hoppers know what happened. “We believe that they were utilizing his Social Security benefits and we determined that they were expending his benefits over a period of a number of months throughout the Southern states,” he said.
