Haglund essentially said investigators were not buying that story, declined to solicit public search parties and said they would be looking in specific places, which also certainly meant officers had more information than they shared to the public.

They also had Genesis’ mother, Adrienne Reid, at police headquarters for questioning. It was not clear if they released her Monday night.

Not once did Haglund, District Attorney James Tarbox or Coffee County Sheriff Scott Byrd say anything to squelch claims by neighbors that it had been weeks since they had seen Genesis, whom they described as outgoing little girl.
Yes, IMO it was pretty telling when they declined the search party. They immediately formed search parties when that little boy went missing a few weeks ago from the bus.

I think this case will break today. If it doesn’t I think they might begin recovery searching.

Yeah, it shows they know she's not alive. If there was the slightest chance she was, they'd be out in force for a two year old.

Quinton Simon vibes as well. So very sad. I hope there is swift justice for this little, and the mom is honest. I can't help but hope against hope Gen is somewhere safe and alive.

Along with police, the missing girl’s grandmother pleaded for her safe return.

“I don’t care what state, what county, please call the police. She was not given willingly. Please contact us via messenger, Facebook, whatever. Please contact me,” Vivienne Reid told WTVY News 4.
