Haglund essentially said investigators were not buying that story, declined to solicit public search parties and said they would be looking in specific places, which also certainly meant officers had more information than they shared to the public.
They also had Genesis’ mother, Adrienne Reid, at police headquarters for questioning. It was not clear if they released her Monday night.
Not once did Haglund, District Attorney James Tarbox or Coffee County Sheriff Scott Byrd say anything to squelch claims by neighbors that it had been weeks since they had seen Genesis, whom they described as outgoing little girl.
