So sad, rest in peace Irene. I am glad that it doesn't look like foul play was a component though, just a horrible accident due to dementia.
And agreed @Marg from Oz , there are a few residents at the care home I work at who have nothing kept in their room because they will go in and absolutely scatter everything, including the mattress and sheets and toiletries. The biggest offender is one of my favorite residents, who can't be more than 80lbs yet swings her furniture around like the hulk
Kind of confused why they didn't check abandoned houses in her area but maybe they didn't know it was abandoned, or didn't have the authority. I would hope they would have that authority.
