Have you seen them? Siblings reported missing in Mobile County

Investigators are asking the public for help finding a brother and sister who were reported missing in Mobile County over the weekend.

Jacob Scott Manning, 14, and Samantha Leanne Manning, 11, last were seen Friday in Wilmer, according to authorities.

Jacob is described as 5 feet 2 inches and about 135 pounds. He has hazel eyes. His hair color is unknown, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Samantha is described as 3 feet 6 inches and about 85 pounds, according to ALEA. She has blonde or strawberry hair and hazel eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's office at 251-574-8633.

UPDATE: Deputies search for parents of siblings missing from Mobile County

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) - The Mobile County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating Samantha Manning and her brother Jacob Manning. They are also searching for the parents of the missing children, wanted for questioning regarding the whereabouts of the children.

According to the deputies, the grandmother of the children reported them missing to MCSO. She told detectives she and her husband were awarded custody of the children earlier that day. The sheriff's office said the two children had been living with them for over a year due to their parent's criminal background.

Deputies say the grandmother stated that after the custody hearing the mother came to her home to speak with her and see the children. The mother told the children she would appeal the custody and get them back with her very soon.

Deputies are now searching for the two parents, Sammuel Albert Manning and Alisa Dawn Manning, wanted for questioning into the whereabouts of their children.
The sheriff's office says the grandmother also told detectives that there is a 16-year-old sibling, Sammuel Albert Manning IV, who was in the custody of DHR. Deputies say she told them while he was being transported to Strickland Youth Center, he jumped out of the vehicle and fled. He has not been seen since the incident. Manning's case is being handled by Mobile Police Department, according to the sheriff's office.

My heart hurts for these children...it sounds as if their young lives have been chaotic. Being a grandparent, I can only imagine how the grandparents must feel right now...worried sick, I'm sure. I hope these kids are found safe very soon!

So the children disappeared from grandmother’s house after their mother had left? How do we not know the boy’s hair color if grandmother had just seen him? Is there no MP report out on the brother who fled CPS custody? Also I’m wondering if 3’ 6” for the 11 year old is a typo, my 6 year old daughter I’d 3’11”, 3 year old is 3’3” and 12 year old daughter is 5’2”. This story is confusing I just hope they get home safely and quickly.

Officials said the couple's 11-year-old daughter Samantha and 14-year-old son Jacob have both been located and are safe.

According to authorities, tips led them to the location of the parents and the children. They say the children were found in the Glenwood Subdivision in Semmes while the parents were located in a different community in Semmes.
