It honestly has me shocked and a bit suspicious that a baby like that could make it all the way out there on his own and then die?like no foul play involved my ass I think something definitely happened to that angel and unfortunately I don’t think we’ll ever know what really happened I just hope there wasn’t any pain for the sweet baby boy

As a new mother of a 7 month old son it hurts me to see innocent lives like this lost with no explanation and it scares me and I hope and hope we can get proper answers and not useless words of what happened I want to know what actually happened to this little angel and put him to rest properly and unfortunately I’ve searched and done so much research it gives me migraines jist looking at a screen I’ve even went to the area he was lost and look around and tried to see if I could find anything to show what happened but I found nothing I’m so sorry sweet sweet boy it will be ok soon you will have closer wither it be me or someone else we will find the truth

There isn't much mystery here, it looks as if Johnathan went exploring along with the dog, fell into a creek and later died, most probably from hypothermia.
A four year old can cover a lot of ground in a short space of time. He was found two miles from home. Just to give you an idea, an average four year old could cover that kind of distance in around 90 minutes (if they somehow managed it without distraction or stops).

It's a tragic situation but it's not really fair to try to assign blame. Any parent will remember a time or two when their child has disappeared - the difference is that usually one can find them again in short order.

I agree. Johnathon may have been following the dog into the woods. Then the dog may have went to the water's edge to drink and Johnathon followed him, slipped, and fell in.

Yes, if not more so. Helicopters can cover more area but have the same issue with foliage and they are also higher up. A few months back, I was following several detectives into some woods here in NC with my Thermal Drone. They were trying to lead me to a spot where they found some remains in a garbage bag to get a good GPS position and aerial view of the area. The foliage was so thick they just disappeared from view and I could not follow them. The remains were later determined to be from a deer.

Despite the somewhat... odd family circumstances, this actually doesn't seem suspicious to me. Little kids are so vulnerable to hypothermia, and seeing as he was out overnight and apparently didn't even have a jacket on, the odds were against the poor lad even with a big dog trying to keep him warm

it is terrible.

kids wander. (not to scare you) when they first learn how to walk, it's like a superpower. suddenly you can move yourself across the room to play with the toy you wanted, or to look at that thing you were curious about. before that, you were stuck wherever someone felt like putting you -- and you couldn't even talk to ask to be put somewhere else. but now? it's like you can teleport.

but then an annoying thing happens. you're mostly not allowed to use your new superpower, because mommy and daddy want to keep you safe and close by, which of course at that age you don't understand. now, some kids accept this, depending on the personality, but others just get real tuned in to whether mommy and daddy are paying attention, and jail break when they aren't.

it is challenging for a parent. and yes, everyone messes up sometimes. keeping them confined helps.

I wasn’t blaming the parents but I do see how you could see that it’s just simply the fact that no one was watching him and that could leave a big possibility to what happened in between him being in there sights and him leaving

Honestly it saddens me but alsi it leave a big red question mark for me how do you lose sight of a child and not notice at first? (Talking about the parents) an interview I did I was asking this question and I never got an answer and they immediately ended the interview so I never got a full scoop
