According to the report above, the father of Wendy Bailey (and grandfather of Kahleb) is scheduled to appear on 11/12:
Meanwhile, her father, John Bailey, who is also charged in connection with Kahleb’s disappearance, is still scheduled to appear on Nov. 12, and no motion to continue has been filed for him as of now.

Let's hope it stays that way. The reason for his presence in the household to begin with isn't well explained to the public AFAIK much less his involvement in these crimes

Thanks for the update, they haven’t even been arraigned yet right?

For now, John and Wendy Bailey remain in the Fayette County Jail with their bonds still set at $1.8 million each.

Hamlin says he does not expect John Bailey’s status hearing to take place before Christmas. Hamlin is thinking more like spring 2026.

DA says the continuance was because they are still waiting for forensics to come back on some of the evidence. They need it for a trial so he didn’t object.

Wendi’s hearing is scheduled for April 2026.

Wednesday marked one year since the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency issued an Emergency Missing Child Alert for Fayette County 1-year-old Kahleb Collins.

*****
The case, followed by many, has sparked discussions about the handling of the case by Alabama’s Department of Human Resources, who may have had prior involvement with the Collins family, according to court records.

*****
Dan Newburn runs Missing In USA, a platform that advocates for missing children. He says Kahleb’s story inspired him to draft The Kahleb and Ryleigh Collins Act.

It would allow families to sue Child Protective Services workers in civil court as well as open the possibility of criminal charges if abuse reports are ignored and a child is harmed, something he says Alabama needs.

nothing new to report. as far as I know Wendy's next hearing is still set for April of this year, why such a long delay I'll never understand. No word on if John (her father) has any upcoming hearings. the press has forgotten about little kahleb :(

There is one circuit judge for three counties in this circuit, that includes Fayette County. There is also one DA for three counties for this circuit. The video posted in Nov (post #769), the DA states he is still waiting on evidence. I believe this will be a slow moving train.
