I did work at a place that wouldn't let us take or make calls except on break. No exceptions.

So if he was dropped off at daycare, but was wearing a school uniform, was daycare supposed to take him to school that morning?

If Mom worked at a daycare, she might have had to go to work earlier than she could drop her boy off at school.

This is my assumption.

This article states they determined he's 5 yrs old, not 6. They're also saying he's still unidentified.
Yeah, it's not official until the medical examiner makes the determination.

This is very strange, what place of employment wouldn't let you take an emergency phone call?

At my most recent hospital job, we were forbidden to have our phones on our persons outside the locker room or break room.

What does abusing a corpse mean?

I think this refers to the dumping of his little body. I'm sure charges will be upgraded after autopsy.

In this case, probably just leaving the body in the driveway. It's a charge that's often used as a placeholder while more serious charges are pending.

So tragic. My guess is it will turn out similar to the little boy left in the hot daycare van in Fl.:(

Either that or she accidentally ran over him or hit him. A couple of times my kids have ran toward the bus while it was still moving and I freaked out thinking they might trip and fall beneath the wheels. My imagination is not friendly sometimes.

That would make sense in a twisted way if the driver found him in the van before afternoon routes, and panicked. 💔

I wonder if the daycare worker is related to the boy or family. Identifying him might be a formality at this point. They could know whe he is, but can't say so until the autopsy is done. I am just throwing something out there. I can't imagine how no one would claim a young boy like this. What a strange and terrible case.
