Found Deceased AL - Kamille "Cupcake" McKinney, 3, kidnapped from birthday party, Birmingham, 12 Oct 2019 #4

I think the men were throwing candy on the ground. You can see them bending over and picking something up. The children were lured by more candy.

the first male that walks by in the video has his hands in the pockets I think? if he spread candy it must have been on video un-released so far IMO.

It had to happen quickly though because he says a few minutes later she was taken - so how do they really know this since other reports say people looked for her before calling 911? I'm still confused. JMO

So am I correct that LE might know who one person on the video is. But is looking for info on the second one?

Is that because the POI is the first one?

I was a bit confused at the way he said it but I think they know who the second man to walk across the screen is, but they want to find the first man, in case he has more information...

This is my understanding - man #1 walked on by - and is out of sight of the camera man#2 comes into camera range and engages the children then leads them off and we lose them in this particular video. HE is a suspect and LE has spoken with him - he never says he is under arrest though and doesn't say he is one in the same as the POI. But as i pointed out upthread, the video is marked CH5 - I think there are more cameras and more video and there are many more involved in this and that's who LE is trying to get - they want everyone IMO

Throwing was the wrong terminology...I meant dropping candy on the ground. Could be anything, but they are definitely doing something to make the children bend over to pick up something and distract them.

Oh, ok. I thought you were also referring to the suspect in the video. Although we don't know yet if that's the same person, it makes sense that it would be. I wonder why LE would not reveal that. I guess they have their reasons. Hopefully we will know more soon.
I just hope little Cupcake is found alive. It's driving me crazy not knowing and I can only imagine what the family is going through.

Copying over my summary from the last thread. No arrests, police released a video of a suspect/POI asking for help identifying --

Summary of the press conference:

• Time stamp is 7:24 pm... Police chief says time stamp is 37 minutes off.
• VIDEO: Kamille and another young girl can be seen playing in the background. Man #1 walks by past the children. Man #2 walks towards children, engages them, the two children follow him off-screen. Man #2 has been identified and is a suspect. They need the public's help identifying man #1 as they believe he may have information.
• They do affirmatively believe the child in the video is Kamille and this is the last known location she is seen.
• The other child has been identified. They have talked with several members of the community and the other child's mother.
• Chief Smith said he only thought about 20 minutes of planning went into deciding to commit this crime and it was something "done impromptu."
  
• Grid search is being conducted with citizens' help on Sunday. The area being searched is an area in Birmingham frequented by one of the POIs. The grid search is not being done until Sunday because K9s are currently searching, rain is expected tomorrow, they want to give time for the community to plan out their schedules to attend.

Yes it appears they are.
3yo's are entertained by anything. Could be picking up throwing pebbles or acorns - not sure if the tree is foreground or background

Historic weather data indicated it was high 64, low 59 degrees by 6pm Saturday evening. Probably even chillier at 8:30pm after the sun went down. I would wear a jacket and pants in that weather. Especially those of us in the South who haven't had any break in 90-100 degree weather all summer - 60 degrees feels cold.

You’re probably right as I see some of the people at a vigil for CC had on long sleeves but I live near Birmingham and don’t recall it being cold Saturday evening. Also, AL.com reported CC wearing shorts and tee shirt. I've listened to it twice and watched it - I am not hearing the reference to the second child other than it is a child - and while others have said they hear "her mother" - I only heard "the mother" - not that it really matters but I like to be sure - will go listen again. Thank you

Everytime I watch it I wonder if he is known to one of them - he sure got them to follow him quickly - maybe 12 seconds or so? IMO
