In the still photos with the girls the man appears to be in dark clothing. Compared to the photo of the abductor at the gas station, he is in black clothing.

I think they got the right guy !! Now to find the other guy and evidence.

I still think it’s 2 different guys. Guy in video seems to be wearing black baggy clothes. Maybe sweat pants and sweat shirt. Guy at gas station wearing blue jeans and green T-shirt (noticeable better in second pic).
Also would make sense that his attorney released a statement first thing this am before the Sherif presser in advance of the video to remove speculation it is his client that is the suspect. Moo

That depends on how confident you are in reporters. There was a report posted up thread by a news outlet it was a limp. That was not stated in presser tho.

She is one of the grandmothers and seemed to be the spokesperson for the family in the PC with the pastors speaking. The great grandmother spoke right after her. She's been in a few other pictures. She doesn't actually have blonde hair it's just part of her hair is dyed lighter. They may be extensions, too. Idk

SEARCH FOR ‘CUPCAKE’: New video, police searching for suspect, community search this Sunday
4:50 p.m.: The Birmingham Police Department announced Friday a plan to perform a grid search Sunday with the help of community volunteers.

According to BPD, after further evaluation, they are not asking for volunteers as they say they have “sufficient volunteers and personnel from BPD to already perform the search.”

11:39 a.m.: Birmingham City Council President Pro Tem William Parker is encouraging volunteers to come out and help police on Sunday. Times and location for the search will be announced soon.

10:30 a.m.: Birmingham Police Chief Patrick Smith hosts press conference. Six days have passed since “Cupcake’s” abduction.

I thought this community grid search was ill advised as soon as it was announced and posted here going “WTH are they thinking?”. They aren’t even close to figuring this out and I fear they never will.

I'm wondering the same thing. If this was spontaneous and decided 20 minutes before it happened, he was real close by. I'm wondering if he lives around there because (1) they know who he is and (2) limp. It wouldn't be hard to identify a neighbor with a limp. JMO.

As they seem to think they have a suspect, I'd say that they know for sure where the suspect was 20 mins prior to the abduction.
Possibly at work, or on CCTV somewhere, or seen meeting with a known child abuser somewhere, or online making a deal for a child, or texting back and forth about getting a child?
And possibly seen - in person or online - at 7:40-7:45pm if the 'decision to abduct' was made within 20 mins?
