A west Alabama man has been convicted and sentenced to death in the 2015 killing of his ex-wife.

24th Judicial Circuit District Attorney Andy Hamlin on Wednesday evening announced the guilty verdict in the capital murder case against 40-year-old Brandon Sykes, of Vernon.
