[h=1]Partial human remains found by hikers near the Cahaba River[/h]
According to Deputy Randy Christian, the hikers were in the wooded area behind the Cahaba Forest Cove neighborhood in southern Jefferson County when they found the remains. They exited the woods and called the Sheriff’s Office.

Christian says the remains are so badly decomposed that is was not possible to determine race or gender at the scene.

Kierra Stubbs thought she was going to get help fixing her brakes when she got in a man's car five years ago. She hasn't been seen since. Can we help her family and law enforcement find the truth? Time to turn on the Searchlight.

Details of Disappearance
Stubbs was last seen on April 24, 2014, when her brother dropped her off at 3rd Avenue west in Birmingham, Alabama at 9:00 a.m. She was meeting a man at Boost Mobile so he could help fix her car's brakes. Surveillance video showed Stubbs getting into the man's burgundy 2012 Chrysler 200. She has never been heard from again.

The man Stubbs met on the day of her disappearance was an African-American man in his fifties, someone she knew only by sight. He had met her at her job, and she offered to help him braid his children's hair in exchanged for help with her brakes. He is a person of interest in Stubbs's disappearance, but his identity has not been publicly released.

Stubbs left behind two young children. Foul play is suspected in her case, which remains unsolved.

So you can drive away with a woman, she disappears forever, and that's it?

My heart really goes out to Kierra and her family.

Investigators returned to the same house Friday where they moved a storage shed and used an excavator to search again. Nothing was found.

On that 2014 day, the Birmingham mother, along with her one of her brothers and her son, dropped her younger sister and another brother off at school.

They then headed to the city’s Five Points West where she was meeting with a man at Boost Mobile to help her with her car. Surveillance video showed her getting into a burgundy 2012 Chrysler 200.

Her aunt, Shonte Stubbs, told AL.com in 2018 that the man was going to give Kierra Stubbs money to help get her brakes fixed.
