Larry James Blevins is listed as missing out of Alabama since 1994.

Missing Person Case

One issue. He's also listed as a positive match for a John Doe located in West Palm Beach in Florida in 1999, who was formally identified in 2001. I know this is the same case due to the dates and locations, and as far as I'm aware this isn't an instance of partial remains recovered.

Does anyone know why this case is still listed, or is this a mistake from NamUs?

However, another really strange spanner in the works then appears. His mother is referenced in the Anniston Star as having been aware of the identification of her son's remains, but then in her obituary in 2015 he is listed as surviving her in death?
