The Choctaw County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Mary Annette Sims. Ms. Sims is a 45-year-old white female. She is 5’4″ tall and weighs 160 pounds with blonde hair and green eyes. The family last saw Mary Annette Sims on Saturday, October 27, 2018.

The last time that anyone saw Mary Annette Sims was on Monday, October 29,2018 around 9:15-9:30 A.M., when a Choctaw County Sheriffs Deputy conducted a traffic stop on Sims at the intersection of Needham Road and Alabama Highway 17.

She is driving a beige 1996 Mercury Cougar with Alabama tag 15AV618. Sims is known to frequent the areas of Butler and Needham, Alabama in addition to the Stateline and Waynesboro, Mississippi area. According to her daughter she is also known as Annette Pope. Her relationship status was changed to 'In a Relationship' on 24th October and there are some very odd and worrying comments in response to that. On her daughter's own page there are some other worrying comments about Annette's page being hijacked and human trafficking. I hope none of this is the case.

I couldn't find the daughter's page. The only FB friends with the last name of Pope had zero mention of her. Her FB page does look highjacked. I doubt someone in AL would be getting comments in Arabic. She does have an arrest for possession of a controlled substance not too long ago (www.searchquarry.com) so there may some danger with interaction with the drug trade, but I seriously doubt a 45-year-old woman would be trafficked. Whether for sex or forced labor the majority of people trafficked in the US are adolescents to very young adults, NOT middle-aged, and most victims are recruited from Mexico and East Asia, followed by the former Soviet Union, Africa, Eastern Europe, and finally, Latin America. I don't know what I'm allowed to post re her daughter but if you search on Facebook for 'Mary Sims Alabama', under 'Public Posts' I see a post from a young lady saying 'please help find my mom', with a link to the story about Mary. You can read the daughter's profile from there.

Missing Person Found

There's good news involving a missing person's case that we first brought you earlier this week. Mary Annette Sims from Choctaw County, Alabama has been found safe and sound. According to authorities she has been located in Harrisburg, Mississippi.
