Prichard woman missing since Dec. 12, police say

Meshell Battles, 50, has been missing from Prichard since Dec. 12, police said. Call 251-452-2211 if you know where she is.

PRICHARD, Ala. -- A 50-year-old Prichard woman has been missing since Dec. 12, police said Monday.

Prichard police spokeswoman LaToya Veal said Meshell Denise Battles was last seen in the Alabama Village community of Prichard. Veal said Battles has a history of drinking problems, but it is uncommon for her not to account for herself for such a long time period.

Battles is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 195 pounds. She frequently uses the nickname of "Me," Veal said.

Anyone with information as to her whereabouts is asked to call Prichard police at 251-452-2211.
