Found Deceased AL - Michael Matthew, 47, Birmingham, 9 Apr 2018 *endangered*

Michael Matthew, 47, was last seen at his apartment in the 1100 block of Pebble Creek Parkway. Matthew is considered endangered because he is diabetic and does not have his medication with him.

Matthew drives a 2010 white Dodge Avenger with the tag number 1CV2816. He is known to visit the Atlanta and Montgomery areas as well.

Matthew is a black male, 5-feet, 7-inches and weighs 180 pounds. He has brown eyes and is bald.

The decomposed body found in the trunk of an abandoned vehicle four days ago has now been positively identified as a man who has been missing for several weeks.

Birmingham police on Tuesday identified the victim as 47-year-old Michael Steven Matthew. His death has been ruled a homicide

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — A decomposed body found in a car trunk in Alabama has been identified as a man who has been missing for weeks.

Birmingham Police say the body is 47-year-old Michael Steven Matthew. His death has been ruled a homicide and an investigation is underway. Matthew was last seen at his apartment in early April. A missing person's report was filed April 9.
