Woman’s body found in shallow grave in Hueytown yard

“The body of a female was found in a shallow grave in the backyard of a home where investigators from multiple law enforcement agencies worked overnight and today on Chapel Drive in Hueytown.”

[...]

“The female’s body was recovered in the “muddy, nasty” back yard of the home, which is not currently occupied by an residents. Investigators arrived at the house at 9 a.m. and the body transport van left the scene with the remains shortly before 1 p.m. The remains will be taken to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.”

[...]

“Neighbors say an elderly man used to live at the home, but family members took him out of the house a while back to care for him. They said it wasn’t clear whether anybody is currently living in the house.”

I got this from those statements:

She was an independent person, and wouldn’t reach out for help unless she had to. The fact that she did, is very concerning, because it must have meant she was in big trouble.

I agree with you that she probably is an independent person but after listening to the comments of the family concerning the text PH allegedly sent a text to a friend just after midnight Friday (idk who im with so if I call please answer. I feel in trouble) I think their stating that PH would not put herself in the position of not knowing who she is with.

I wholeheartedly support the WS rules, and I am not asking for names, but those of you are are savvy on social media, are any of the coworkers known? So odd to me from the beginning that the group of coworkers did not come out themselves and beg for help.

So sad in the beginning i had hopes paighton would be found alive.

This is devestating news for the family of whoever was found. This is NOT the time or place to express any sort of bs. I am California born and have lived in the South most of my life.

Do we think that maybe a tip of a foul smell could have lead LE to this house?

Also anyone here ever dug a hole to plant a small tree? It's back breaking work. I can't imagine digging a shallow grave in Alabama clay/dirt. Would take a long time and a lot of effort. IMO there will be a huge trail of forensic evidence in this case.

Here is a google map of the cross street where she was found. You'll have to track down the streets to find the house pictured on the news but it's a starting point. خرائط ‪Google‬‏‏

That would make sense if they hadn’t started 1.5 miles away from the scene. Imo

I doubt it. Multiple agencies descended on that that house last night, and it looked to me that they were there on a mission, as opposed to a fishing expedition.

They knew what they were looking for.

I think someone involved is cooperating, and told them exactly where to look.

I feel that they pressured the co-workers and one of them cracked and has told them what happened. I think the "two black men" story was just BS and police knew that. I think the house of cards will tumble by the end of the day.
I thin k it could go either way , I'm with you on the two Heavy Black guys at that bar sticking out like a sore thumb but on that note the demographics of the neighborhood it seems like if a group of white peeps dumped her here , they would stick out ...it kinda does look like a trap house (but you usually see cameras, ) so I am puzzled at this moment.

I feel identification can occur quickly with dental records but MOD & COD might be another matter. May take awhile for labs and testing if there are not any obvious visable causes.

Prayers for PH and her loving family.

This episode was associated with PH from the very start yesterday afternoon; I doubt the tip was as random as simply a foul odour. This tip IMHO was very specific, and a lot of LE descended upon this one home very quickly.

Or maybe they have already identified her by tattoo or scars, etc. I feel they wan't to let the family know in person before saying anything publicly.

“Officers from multiple law enforcement agencies convened in a Hueytown neighborhood Thursday night — including Trussville, Birmingham, Hueytown police and Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies — and returned Friday to investigate a tip...”

[...]

“A heavy law enforcement presence began in the area around 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Most of the agencies left the scene by 9:30 p.m. Chapel Drive and Love Street had the heaviest police presence, although residents said Pinewood Avenue from Johnson Drive were the first streets blocked off.”

Exactly. And if they have someone willing to tell them where the body is, they know who did it as well.

Based on LE's actions I think they knew exactly where to look and what they were looking for. A property like that would take days to search otherwise. Look at that pile of garbage. LE has some inside info, imo.
