What type of neighborhood is this? Mostly residential? Wooded? Commercial district? Anyone familiar with the area?

In the shot of the house there is the mailbox and a shovel propped up against it. I'll see if I can find a still photo as opposed to the live.

During that live feed, at those times one could see LE shining lights, did anyone get the impression that they were shining lights upwards on the walls in the interior of the house? Might be mistaken but it made me curious about what they were looking at/for.

Police have taken the tape down and unblocked Chapel Drive, but tape remains around this house. One Hueytown Officer is still here on scene. @abc3340

thanks it's right upthread in post #301
it's hard to see in that shot but I think maybe I see it

ETA: definitely see it now

Googling that address of the house will turn up a possible resident. And a phone number.

The roof looks it is about to collapse.

Re: the shovel. I think it is being over analyzed. It could've been just to dig to a post in to attach crime scene tape to, for example.

Also, I thought the comment I saw said an "observer" asked a neighbor for a shovel. Not an officer. But I am.going to check now.

I've been watching that feed and do not see any comments unless you're referring to the FB page comments.
I’m not sure why it’s appearing differently for you, unless you’re not on a mobile phone then that could explain it. Yes, the comments can be found on CBS42’s FB as well, but I viewed them in the live feed. I wish I knew how to help you see them.

1st strange now complicated. Must be getting close. IMO

Strange that the chief would state, "no body found". Were they expecting one?

I'm guessing they were expecting a body. I'm wondering if there was a confession or strong lead.
