Someone had to have told them where to look. They are not releasing all they know or who they have arrested.

Good afternoon, fellow sleuths. Very sad ending to a young woman's life. This case really grabbed me probably because I live in Birmingham and when I moved to the great State of Alabama, I lived in Trussville. As soon as I learned where PH body was found, I absolutely sleuthed all family members ever associated with that address. We are allowed to sleuth what or whomever as long as we don't share our findings here, yes.

<modsnip: quoted post was removed>

One of the early MSM links here quoted a PH relative referring to the friend that received the text as her "best friend."

I not going to go find the post in thread 2, but I don't have Paighton actively drug seeking just to blame/ get the co worker involved. The post said everyone was putting OD in to blame co-worker. There's a few other reasons and people in my head. And none of the people are heavy set black men

* My phone won't text that phrase like that either. And I'm still stuck on idk being something a younger person texts...

Edited to add: idk comes up all lowercase if it's not the first word. I'm thinking a change of mind in wording and the first word or so was deleted before sending

Hindsight raises its ugly head. She needed better friends!

If I were nervous and texting under stressful circumstances, I'd abbreviate 'please' as 'pls'.

I'm having trouble coming up with a likely scenario that is consistent with the friend/co-worker's alleged account.

In the Spurlock case, the police let the accused's fake story circulate unchallenged until they had sufficient evidence to arrest him. If someone is telling a fake story (and I don't know if they are), LE may already know it but see no reason to publicly challenge it until they have as much evidence as possible.

Paighton's family member said it didn't sound like her. And I posted way back, it sounds younger to me. Only my youngest uses that abbreviation. I'm sure it varies greatly across the world. Idk is abbreviated, yet please isn't, and the full sentence and wording doesn't work

I am not familiar with PH's texting style, but imho that message is oddly worded by any standards.

I must say that I feel better that this "investigation of death" is being handled by jeffco sheriff's department. I'm sure there is plenty dna on the sheet of fabric she was wrapped in. Might take a long a$$ time to determine cause, ugh

Perhaps she left with strangers who promised to find her drugs, but things went south when she realized her bank card was missing. If she left with them to get drugs and then couldn't get money, that could have really set someone (a drug addict) off... especially if she promised to buy them drugs, too. It's also very possible they had bad intentions all along. To be clear: This is in no way meant to victim blame. I do not think what happened to Paighton was Paighton's fault.

One of my worries has to do with some other former addicts. Not everyone who comes out the other side is mentally sound and sober. Of course, not everyone never addicted to anything is mentally sound either.

No TV interviews with bartenders, waitresses or patrons sounds like she was never in that bar.

Its very odd. Other than LE speaking about the case it's strictly been Paighton's family members. At least that's all I have seen. Sure makes one wonder.

MOO
