Can't listen until later because I'm at work, but as to this question... maybe PH left willingly with two men but they parted ways at some point, resulting in her being with people she didn't know. If that were the case, there'd be no reason to arrest them, right? They may even have provided one of the "tips" that eventually led to the recovery of PH (something along the lines of "she was fine when we left her at so & so's party around midnight" or whatever). It could also explain why LE stopped asking for help to identify them. MOO.
Also considering what Crime Stoppers said about tipsters receiving reward money, may explain why the state's reward money went off the list on their web site. Does this also indicate that they actually have solved the case? Wouldn't they hold out some reward for additional tips if they had not resolved the case?

Others have surmised that possibly the arrests have happened but have not been publicized b/c they are waiting until after Friday when PH is laid to rest. Is that common protocol for LE, and if so, why?

RSBM

The only time I can ever recall that happening, is when the suspect and victim were either parent/child, or spouses or ex-spouses. If there were charges/arrests to be made, LE would wait until after the victim's funeral and then *bam*... like clockwork, the suspect is named, arrested and shows up in the inmate roster. I don't know how common it is, but it has happened in a few cases I've followed over the years.

I think in many case suspects have been arrested for something other than the crime they eventually will be charged with. I would not be surprised if suspect/suspects in this case were already being held on other charges. jmo

It would be interesting if the burial actually preserved the evidence needed to charge someone with homicide (death during the commission of a felony). Dumping the body in a random and remote location would have resulted in faster decomposition and lower chance of discovery. MOO, LE may be waiting on test results before pressing charges in order to determine if it will be homicide or lesser charges like manslaughter or improper disposal of a corpse (death by natural causes such as heart attack without evidence of recent drug use).

Yes, like possession of drugs or violation of probation....

I see I'm not the only one taking a leisurely stroll down the list of smiling faces on the jail roster...

Well if no one asked or I just plain missed it do you see two men of that description? or is that a dumb question and yes there are several?

I wish I knew more about the tow yard across the street. Not going to divulge in looking into the lives of employees there that are likely innocent, but they would likely have significant knowledge on that house and the occupants.

Wasn't one of the other locations that was reported to be searched across the street from or near a tow yard? Or am I remembering something else?

That's a good thought. It would also explain why LE would say nothing useful on the video while also apparently saying two men were on it.

The tow yard is right across Love St at the intersection with Chapel Dr. I think the initial search extended to near the ball parks farther west along Pinewood Ave.

Listen to the Alabama’s Morning News with JT Episode - The Latest on the Paighton Houston Investigation on iHeartRadio | iHeartRadio

I think this counts as approved news source. I found this interview with AL.com's newsreporter, Carol Robinson very interesting.

She's been reporting on this case and it seems to think she believes there were two men. I wonder if that is the case, why have no arrests been made yet?

Others have surmised that possibly the arrests have happened but have not been publicized b/c they are waiting until after Friday when PH is laid to rest. Is that common protocol for LE, and if so, why?

Thanks for posting this. This is what I understood:

Reporter made her opinion clear that less than half of one percent of info about this case circulating on FB is true!

The surveillance video viewed by LE was most likely a collection of videos from surrounding businesses (TR allegedly does not have surveillance video beyond the bar).

Although two men matching witness descriptions not depicted on surveillance, LE is not backing away from PH leaving bar with two men.

The house where PH discovered was not likely a random house. It had a connection to who she was with.

The discovery of PH's body alone was insufficient to classify her case as a homicide (i.e., no visible signs of trauma).

Can't dismiss this was an accidental death and she was buried in a panic.

Here’s a follow up on my previous post, two months later, after the autopsy is complete.
People do the craziest things.

“Greg Palermo, 50, and Donald Morrison, 59, were charged with tampering with physical evidence, mishandling dead human remains and failure to report a death”

“Covelli confirmed that Boone died from an overdose of fentanyl and methamphetamine.”
According to arrest records, both Palermo and Morrison admitted to burying Boone’s body in a 10-foot grave fearing an investigation because of the nature of his death.”

“Florida law protects bystanders who call 911 to report overdoses to emergency services. Law enforcement would have investigated the death but would not have pursued drug charges, according to the OCSO.”

UPDATED: Two arrested after body discovered in Dr. Phillips | Southwest Orange | West Orange Times & Windermere Observer
I've posted the original story a couple times. Unfortunately I know someone who knows these two.

Living in Alabama, i can say there are many neighborhoods like the one this house is in. Older, small, run down homes. Many are cheap rentals owned by slum lords who don't care what condition the house is in as long as they get rent money. A mile from the state capitol building here you will find many houses with bathtubs, toilets, sinks and mattresses in the yard. And people living in the houses. This is not unusual. The elderly man who moved out of this house could have lived there with the yard just as the police found it, the house in this run down condition, and Christmas lights long dead still hanging from the porch. As for neighbors watching, that would surprise me. People in these areas keep quiet.

BTW I thought it was stated the man was 52 and disabled .....please tell me 52 isn't elderly because I might as well throw in the towel if it is .

Thanks for reminding me about the "Bennett Dinner" posts on Dec 13. I think that Bennett refers to Bennett Int'l Group, LLC which is another transport/logistics firm in B'ham similar to PH's employer. Bennett also tweeted about the joys of seeing their employees and agents across the US celebrate Christmas. By all accounts, PH was respected at work for her strong work ethic and by no means a clock watcher. She will be missed.
I think if I'm not mistaken she actually worked for Expedited Transport LLC

Confirmed. The party was employees and agents.

Yes. I also recall a week or so back looking at ET's company page, and originally they had a post of PH missing and yellow ribbon I think. Now all of that has been deleted or stripped off the page for some reason.

I was pondering that as well, I think we’re waiting on other results to come back. Then to see if it matches with stories LE may have been given in order to find PH, and see if what they were saying was true about how she passed. Then the monies gets processed and released to the tipster/s. If I remember how that works correctly. I remember on a different case that reward question came up and we found there’s a process to go through.
