I'd wondered how the co-worker knew the time PH left the bar. It hadn't occurred to me that 10:45 could've been given as the time PH was last seen by her friends because THEY left while she chose to stay. And being a much younger co-worker could definitely change the dynamic re: "letting" PH stay behind and/or checking up on her throughout the evening. MOO.
"... how the co-worker knew the time PH left the bar" if friends left much earlier. This seems like a major flaw in that story. MOO

Personally I believe that LE has this handled. They didn’t ask the public for help with these men nor did they have sketches etc. I’m honestly guessing they were wanting to stay tight lipped because of the constant side by side comparisons and harassment that goes on online mostly social media when people think they have a suspect who most times hadn’t even had anything to do with the crime. It hinders the investigation and we’ve all seen it go on and LE to plead to the public to stop doing it. I think LE is just trying to wrap everything up without it going out the window, waiting on a tox don’t have just to do with illegal substances, could be looking to see if she was taking medication as prescribed (IF she was on any medication), certain tests can take awhile to come back and not to mention if they are looking for DNA to link to a suspect that can take time too, there’s been cases where DNA hasn’t made a match till decades later.
All jmo speculation moo
Also, say the poor girl did have a mix of things in her system and what happened was an accident that was covered by panic, LE will have to prove that it was just that so they can go about charges etc they see fit.
LE has a lot of work in general they gotta do without public misleading them. It’s a tough job. I think that we will find out more after tox come back if they release the findings, or could be holding private to the findings till a court date. I think this will actually unfold pretty quickly.

My point was, unless this person is a VI here, verified insider cleared by Tricia or whoever clears the VIs, or a journalist or LE, we can't just go around posting stuff any rando person has to say on the matter, because it's considered rumor and impossible to verify. That's not the kind of forum this is, thankfully.

I'm sure this has been reported by now & MODS must be okay with it.

Xanax is just not really looked at like a "drug" these days. My sister took tons of it. Started out as depression and anxiety but became a crutch for her til she kicked it and we told her doctor what was happening so he quit prescribing. Her thought - If it comes from a doctor it's ok right? She would be finished with her monthly prescription by mid-month and have to switch off to back-pain meds (Lortab, also overprescribed) til the first of the month and then start the cycle over.

This is what I've been thinking as well. Early reports used "hole" and "shallow grave" interchangeably, but to me they represent two very different scenarios. Maybe that house was chosen because someone was familiar enough with it to know there was already a hole of some kind in the backyard. MOO.

I agree 100%...someone familiar with that area knew there was a preexisting firepit or the like there and very convenient. We have no idea where she went, who she was with, or what she did from the time she left home for work December 20th. PH is being put to rest tomorrow at her final burying place, and I would hope we all respect the family and not spew out more rumors here.

I don't see it that way. I'd previously thought the co-worker was asked "What time did PH leave the bar?" and had answered 10:45. I wondered why she'd remember so clearly what time someone else left; it just seemed a curious thing to make note of at the time.

BUT, if instead the question was "When did you last see PH?" it makes sense that the answer could've been "I saw her as I was leaving the bar at 10:45". I'd be much more likely to remember what time I left as opposed to what time I saw someone else leave.

I also think the story of the co-worker leaving the bar first is a better fit than PH essentially sneaking out of the bar fairly early with 2 men without ever saying a word to anybody.

Yes, based on what we can discuss here.

Another issue I have with that story is the friends leaving without speaking to PH knowing that PH didn't have a ride and her car was at the friend's place.

When is last case on here where we have zero facts to base our speculations on? All we know is Paighton "evidently" left her home at her parent's house December 20, 2019.

Just an FYI, I live in the Birmingham area and would be happy to try and answer any questions about the area if it helps.

ABC 3340 has a new article out.

Basically an attorney says not to attack the friend (he named her) etc.

I'm interested to "see" who is attending Paighton's funeral and who isn't.

"I have been involved solely to facilitate the communication between Grace and law enforcement."

Imo, this attorney is just that, a lawyer, and informs me that a non suspect is 'lawyer'd up.'

I question why this person being an ADULT in their 20s is being described as if they were a baby, young, etc.

This is the only case that I can remember, in which a person may potentially have been abducted, is missing for weeks, and there had been no pleas from the last persons to have seen PH alive, no concern in reaching out to whomever abducted her or knows of her whereabouts, to please bring her home unharmed. Or, a plea to PH to come home. They could have requested their face blurred and voice changed if privacy was more a concern of theirs than PH's regard and safety, of being returned unharmed. Unless, they were for certain she was already dead. Just my opinion and two cents.

From the article:
by ABC 33/40; Thursday, January 9th 2020
“[SBM]

Social media discussion groups about the case have debated multiple theories with some alleging Paighton's friends and co-workers had something to do with her disappearance.

ABC3340 News reached out to attorney Tommy Spina who is helping one of those individuals for comment:

Grace has been exceptionally cooperative with law enforcements‘ multiple agencies, that have been involved in the investigation of this case and has told them everything she remembers from that night. She is a witness and nothing more and I have been assured by law enforcement that there is not one ‘scintilla of evidence’ connecting Grace to any crime being investigated.

She is a very young lady, who’s (sic) father asked me to help the family and Grace navigate the process with her. I have been involved solely to facilitate the communication between Grace and law enforcement. When you are in your 20s and lose a good friend under these circumstances it is incredibly anxiety producing and unnerving. It’s a shame that some social media ‘bashers’ have elected to paint her as complicit in some way. Comments along those lines are not only untrue and baseless but are hurtful to Grace , who lost a dear friend in this process, and insensitive to Paightons family and Grace and need to stop.

We should all come together to support the family and friends of Paighton to assist them in getting through this terribly tragic loss”

-- Tommy Spina
