Found Deceased AL - Paighton Houston, 29, left bar with 2 men, Birmingham, 20 Dec 2019

According to an update today, quote:

"Sergeant Johnny Williams with the Birmingham Police Department said investigators have reviewed surveillance video from a bar where Paighton Houston was last seen and have not found anyone matching the description of the two men she is believed to have left with." B’ham Police: Surveillance video in Paighton Houston case does not show 2 men she reportedly left with

The two men were an eye witness account given to the family, who then contacted LE. Apparently, this is the same person who received the text.

Someone said earlier that there were a lot of older looking folks there .. I don’t the type of bar or which locals hang out there. I can tell you if it’s a local and mostly townies go there, there for sure would be people who saw 2 big African Americans talking to a younger white lady. I think we’ve seen this type of scapegoat quite a few times in recent years. I’m starting to think her “friends” have something to do with this.

That is what I'm wondering too. I can't say what I'm thinking. I would get in to hot water. I just hope I'm wrong in the big picture. I just want more than anything to have the best outcome for Paighton and her family.

From what I am hearing, that friend has ALLEGEDLY changed the story a couple times now. I know Paighton's Mom gave the missing person report based on what she was told by this "friend" but with what is coming out from the PD that the men Paighton supposedly left with aren't found on the footage at all. There are a lot of links that you try out now that had info on them, that no longer exist.

I have a feeling that the "friend" may have something to do with the disappearance but that's MOO

I can’t speak for @Knox but I really don’t think that was what they meant at all. We have all mentioned how terrible MSM has been and how we wish the reporters would ask certain questions. I think since you have an open line of communication with someone, they were being smart about wanting to ask some pointed questions!

I agree MSM hasn't helped this case at all. So many questions that they could have asked as follow up but they don't do it. I hope that @lmr will get some answers!

MSM should be asking LEO where the phone last pinged, they should be asking abt this "friend" or co-worker, they need to interview THAT person as THEY were the WITNESS and one of the last people to see Paighton.
The phone would have sent a ping also when it was turning off. SO, they should have that information and they can work in a 3 mile radius of that area to start with. See if anyone saw anything, if there are cameras in the area, etc.

Kinda what I am wondering as well. Then again I wish I could verify what I saw on a youtube video, I am trying to though. I know facebook isn't a way to verify ANYTHING that's why I stay off of it, well that an my psyco family, but I heard the Mother put out another statement, I WISH they would realize that FB isn't that reliable!! I know it's a way to get information out in a quick manner, BUT it isn't a way that really channels things, neither is twitter or any other social media.
When did we as a society become so glued to our phones and devices that's all we do is social media platforms??

Helpful questions:
Did anyone see Paighton at the bar or leaving the bar?
Has Paighton ever used Uber or Lyft? Does she have an account with either?
Has anyone ever offered to pay for Paighton's Uber or Lyft ride? (yes i know thats against their TOS or so I hear, but it happens)?
If anybody at her home has access to the laptop or desktop she uses they may be able to access her accounts. You never know what may be visible, LE may find that helpful. If she's checked into a google/gmail account her phones every move may be visible from that night, it is amazing how well it tracks. Mine was highly accurate and even asked for reviews of the establishments I visited & any voice commands I gave via phone were also there and it even picked up conversations it shouldn't have. (right before I turned thay sucker off) (I feel sure LE handled all of this but, as a family member it may be something they can peek at)

i also hope the family requests LE confiscate her work desktop. With coworkers involved in her last known whereabouts, the last thing I want to hear 6 months from now is that somebody stayed late after work and whiped her account or location history or any important history to this investigation that would have been significant. Transparency is so important no matter involvement. Just sayin..its the smart thing IMOO.

-was she at work on 12/20 and who saw her there
-who was she in contact with that day and night via text/cell
-when was the last time her mother actually spoke to her on the phone
-who can confirm she actually went to TR
-was she seen on video at TR or any nearby business cameras
-if she was there, did she eat or drink alcohol
-did she text anyone else mentioning feeling in trouble
-when and where did her phone ping that night
-when did her phone go silent
-is her car at the coworkers home as would be expected
-has the car been processed
-have any of her possessions been found? Coat, phone, purse, wallet, credit cards, etc
-why hasn’t LE organized any searches for her
