A woman should be able to leave a bar with 2 strange men & not have any expectation that something bad could happen to them.
Yes they should, but expectations and the probability of an outcome can be entirely different. Go with the probabilities, not the expectations.

With two men -- it's a bit scary, IMO, but I'm a LOL (Little Old Lady) now, so what do I know?
Let's just hope she does know them and they were going to some location with which she was familiar. Maybe they just decided to go to NOLA for Christmas or something similar. She is 29 years old, so she's not a starry-eyed 16 y/o.
Let's hope that somebody knows the two men and can help LE try to trace the men.
But it's worrisome. Hoping for good news. Soon.

Please forgive if this article is a repeat:

Ala. Police Search for Woman Who Vanished from Bar with 2 Men, Texted Friend 'I Feel in Trouble'

Paighton Laine Houston's bank account has not been accessed in days and her phone goes straight to voicemail

A 29-year-old woman is missing after she was last seen leaving an Alabama bar with two strangers, multiple outlets reported.
[...]
The Tin Roof shared a statement on Instagram Tuesday saying the bar has been in contact with Birmingham police and has shared all the information they have about Houston’s disappearance.

The longer she is not heard from, the more I think this will not end well.

Yes, sadly I agree. We've seen this too many times here on WS -- I keep hoping that her age (29) will help her deal with things whereas a 17 y/o, for example, might not be able to stay safe. But it's not looking good, IMO.

And this,
Welcome to Websleuths,

We will not put up with victim-blaming.

Opinions on Paighton's behavior adds nothing to the discussion. When you try and blame a victim on Websleuths all it does is cause the discussion to come to a screeching halt.

Please stop. Until we know what happened to Paighton the last thing anyone should be doing is blaming her.

We need to be able to discuss all the facts of the case without people inserting on why they think a victim should be blamed. Please stop this now.

Thank you,
Tricia

These two men obviously weren’t regulars at the bar or they would have been identified by now. And they haven’t come forward either. Hopefully LE knows who they are and are on top of what they do or don’t have to do with any of it. IMO

Let's just hope she does know them ....

Didn't her last text say "I don't know who I'm with" or something similar? So, unfortunately and worryingly I believe she didn't knows these guys. :(

Police say that surveillance video from a bar shows Houston leaving with two heavy-set men last Friday night. Reports say she later sent a message to a friend saying she felt like she was in trouble.

The bar has posted a message saying off-duty police were working there as security at the time.

It's pretty well known that these bars have security, especially the night of an event. Is it possible that Paighton was asked to leave the bar or even escorted out of the bar by security? Maybe by two heavyset men, maybe by an undercover cop? Or maybe by two friendly strangers that offered her a ride? And she dropped her ATM card in the parking lot of the bar, which could indicate that there was some activity or confusion after she left the building?

Any bar that has the amount of security that Tin Roof has, definitely also has surveillance cameras. The Police must know exactly who she exited the building with, and are definitely not releasing any info on it. The two reasons why are they don't want to spook the suspects and taint the investigation, or those men have been 100% cleared.

I wonder how far her parked car was from the venue? And if she possibly attempted to walk to it?

I think if Paighton was OK and had just gone off on a toot, she would have come home for Christmas on her own. Obviously this didn't happen. I was really hoping that she would find her way home to her family for Christmas.

The fact that I'm still finding this thread in the "Missing" Forum is good in a way, but also bad.

Paighton knew she was in trouble. She told people as much.

I wonder if LE was able to ping her phone and get some type of a location.

I'm a bit surprised we haven't seen the video of Paighton and these "heavy set guys" leaving the Bar. Could be LE has identified them therefore there's no need to put the video "out there".

Hoping for a good outcome but my senses are sending me in another direction.

She rode with her friend in her friend's car

Did anyone call LE when that text was received that she thought she was in trouble? Do we even know? Just trying to figure out how long of a delay before anyone starting looking for Paighton. TIA

I was on the fence if she had maybe relapsed, but with Christmas now come and gone, sadly I don't think this is going to end well. I wish it was a relapse because that would mean she is still alive and could eventually come back home again.

But with the text message, sadly, it has the Savannah Spurlock vibe all over it. I'm shocked that photos haven't been released yet though, just a request for photos/video from that night if anyone has them.

I wonder about that text too. I think as a friend I would leap into action right then, but I’m overly sensitive/paranoid from following missing person cases. Per the link from @JerseyGirl her parents called LE immediately when she didn’t come home Friday night. So I’m assuming early morning Saturday sometime that she was first reported missing.

Thank you. Now we have a source other than social media which tells us PH did not drive that night. She left her car at a friend's house and rode with her to the Tin Roof.
The group of friends were her co-workers. Video at link.

Where was the video posted stating she was with coworkers? The link took me to the previous WS page.

I think that's likely, but it's possible they separated later.

I'd like to know if LE has tracked down the guys she left with. What's their story? Is it, we only walked down the street and she went the other way or some story about a party and she left on her own?

I am seriously getting Savannah Spurlock vibes here. It's just so similar right out of the gate.
