Well that's good news. Just saw this so I missed the original reports from last night. I used to live in Huntsville so this caught my attention (worked at Teledyne Brown for a couple years before moving to FL).

Yes it does look like good news - thank goodness it was not an abduction.

I think I might want to check out the daughter's welfare as well though rather than taking mum's word for it without question, just to be sure that the claims of 'fun' were substantiated. It could indeed be innocent horseplay, but it could also be rough handling by a furious parent blaming their child for making them late for their 'out of town' trip, which would be an alternative explanation for why the girl screamed.

That doesn't sound like mother-daughter behavior. Seems odd to me. I have seen people, as a joke, start moving the car ahead just as the person gets close to it to joke with them, but to open the door and pull her in is just . . . really odd IMHO.
