I am DP all the way on this one. The poor girl collapsed from having to run for 3 hours. Even if she gets the DP, it will more than likely get overturned.
Anyway, EvilGran will be hanging with Amy Bishop, Betty Wilson and the ever so sick Judith Ann Neely.

She was found guilty of capital murder. Intent has already been established, hasn't it?

I think the aggravating factors and cruelty involved are what will determine whether she lives or dies.

You guys make good points. I wouldn't think a great injustice had been done if she does fry, but I'm still uneasy about it.

Mr wm and I disagree on a just sentence. DP is fine by me because I support the wishes of Savannahs mother and find the crime cruel and torture. Mr. wm says LWOP because the woman only has a 9th grade education and grew up hard and he doesn't see intent that she meant to kill Savannah. I argued the testimony and facts with him but couldn't change his mind. SMH! I am curious about the makeup of the jury. however the Judge will make the final decision, will he not?

for those who may not know.........when cases are dismissed with prejudice they cannot be retried.......very rare......likely WILL NOT happen so don't get excited imo........

thank goodness the judge did not release the alternate jurors in case he has to release someone.........

if some minor wrongdoing is found, that may be the saving grace to this fiasco and the trial can continue

I am taking deep breaths right now, Queenie! I am not surprised. The DT is doing all they can to save their client's life and that is their job. JG could appeal for improper representation if they didn't pull out all the stops. I don't understand why the jury wasn't sequestered in this case either. Gadsden is a small city. I'd like to know the judges admonishments and if the jury was instructed to avoid SM, news, etc. because this is a high profile case nationally and internationally.
