I am taking deep breaths right now, Queenie! I am not surprised. The DT is doing all they can to save their client's life and that is their job. JG could appeal for improper representation if they didn't pull out all the stops. I don't understand why the jury wasn't sequestered in this case either. Gadsden is a small city. I'd like to know the judges admonishments and if the jury was instructed to avoid SM, news, etc. because this is a high profile case nationally and internationally.

Exactly. I think that during the KC trial JB and CM made several requests for mistrial. I believe that one of the legal eagles here said it was common practice because of appellate issues.

i'm not surprised at the last ditch defense efforts here, but i am surprised at the length of time that has passed........

I'm kinda iffy with the death penalty on this one. I think this woman is evil and should spend the rest of her life removed from society, but I also don't think her intent was to kill Savannah. JMO

Agreed. Her intent was that the baby girl never again swiped a candy bar. But I would not be upset with a dp.. not a bit. This kind of stuff makes me so so so so so so mad !!!!
My children are now almost 21 and almost 17 and I will repeat until the day I die " It is just NOT that hard to NOT kill your kids !'' It's frustrating and agonizing sometimes but there is just no excuse for something like this. Just none .

Hahahaha! I'll see what I can do....even though I'm an ole lady! My specialty was radio news. Back in my day, the first computer was the size of a tricerotops. Seriously it took up a whole office with only a small desk for the traffic director! Those were the days!
