I'm good with the verdict. She will be miserable for the rest of her life!

I hate to say it, but she looks like she's been miserable all of her life. She's taken such a darling angel, I hope the rest of her life is h@ll.

I hope so believe09 but I don't know what the standards in AL are for civil suits. It will certainly burn me up if he makes money from Savannah's death. IMO, his is complicit in Savannah's death. She didn't ask to be taken to AL and be dumped with Granny boot camp and the lazy excuse for a step-mother. RH is soley responsible for making that decision. He used and abused the courts enough trying to discredit HW to keep her from seeing Savannah and allegedly against JH as well. Not to mention, GRMC could have probably treated Savannah more effectively if not for the lies of JG & JH during those crucial moments when EMS arrived. GRMC didn't ask for Savannah's visit to their busy ER, she was taken there for treatment after being ran to the point of collapse and the reason THAT happened was because of poor choices made by RH. I am confident about one thing....GRMC has a whole lot more money and slicker lawyers than RH.

RIP Savannah! Your life mattered sweet girl!

My apologies for the off topic post everyone.

It's all good.
Thank you,

Jessica Mae Hardin (Etowah County Jail)

Jessica Hardin, stepmother in running death case, set for 2016 murder trial

The stepmother of a child who was forced to run until she collapsed and died in 2012 will face trial next year on murder charges.

The murder trial of Jessica Mae Hardin, 30, has been set for Feb. 22, 2016, according to an order from Judge William "Billy" Ogletree.

(snip)
A few who saw Savannah running in the family's yard on Feb. 17, 2012 said they also saw Jessica there, looking at a laptop computer.

Jurors heard Jessica's voice on the 911 tape that played early in the trial, with Garrard in the background calling the child's name. During the more than 11-minute conversation, Jessica said nothing about Savannah having run that afternoon. She only told a dispatcher that the child had a seizure.

Trial date set for Jessica Mae Hardin in girl's running death

(snip)
Jessica Mae Hardin’s trial has been set for Feb. 22, according to an order issued by Etowah County Circuit Judge Billy Ogletree.

(snip)
While prosecutors said Garrard forced the girl to run, Hardin was charged because she was present during the hours-long incident and did not intervene. She is charged with murder during aggravated child abuse.

Hardin has been free on bond since Jan. 7, 2013.

Thanks for the updates.

Has anyone heard from Queen Bee?

Thanks Jewels53. I was wondering about the trial date because the DA who prosecuted JG passed away last summer and it was a month or so before the new one was appointed so I figured some trials would be postponed.

daisymae, I haven't heard from QB in ages. Wonder what she's up to these days.

Alabama woman convicted in girl's running death dies
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — An Alabama woman convicted of capital murder in the running death of her 9-year-old granddaughter died Friday less than a year into her life-without-parole sentence for the killing.
(...)
The cause of death wasn't immediately available, but defense attorney Dani Bone said Garrard apparently suffered a heart attack Sunday minutes after visiting relatives at the state women's prison.

Thank you for letting us know. I'd better just bite my tongue on how I feel about her.

I don't make it a habit of assuming, but I believe we're both thinking similar thoughts daisymae.

Karma! It's fitting that Joyce died of a heart attack- maybe she couldn't lay off the chocolate. And whoever thinks Joyce is going to heaven is sadly deluded.

KARMA .. yes indeed! I was hoping someone would bring up heaven as I know in my heart Joyce will not spend eternity with precious Savannah in heaven.

Thanks LinasK

Wow, I'm disappointed she died. Easy way out for her. I wanted her to be miserable for a long time.

Yeah an easy way out for her. I feel the same. Joyce made it on national news today ... on AON (America Only News) on cable.

Glad she didn't get to hear it- she'd think she was as big a celebrity as Justice Scalia.

And I have no sympathy for her family members as they knew how she treated Savannah.
