The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office is working to locate a missing 47-year-old who was last seen in the Columbiana area.

The SCSO says Steve Jerome Vick has not been in contact with his family since late October.

Sheriff's Office Continues Search In 2 Missing Persons Cases

Two missing persons cases from 2017 are still being investigated by the Shelby County Sheriff's Office. The Sheriff's Office posted on social media last week that the search for John Adam Hyde - missing since May of 2017 - and Steve Jerome Vick - missing since October of 2017 - are still ongoing.

Details of Disappearance
Vick was last seen in the Summer Hill area of Columbiana, Alabama on October 29, 2017. He lived with his parents. A property owner called Vick's parents and said he'd seen Vick and an unidentified man on his land with the family's wrecked truck. Vick has never been heard from again and there hasn't been any activity on his bank account.

The Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences has identified the remains as Steve Jerome Vick from Columbiana.

Last seen by his mother when he and a friend went riding in the woods in the family pickup truck. His mother did not know the friend. The truck was found stuck in between trees on a piece of property in Shelby Co. There were no signs of violence. The family did not report Steve Vick as missing until Jan. 2, 2018 since he had previously gone missing but was located in Baldwin County. There has been no activity in his bank account since he disappeared. The bank account contains his only source of funds. He had no cell phone.

Seems like it shouldn't be that hard to figure out who this unidentified friend is.
