BAY MINETTE, Ala. (WALA) - FOX10 News has learned that Scott Byrd and Daniel Parnell have been granted youthful offender status.
"Because Youthful Offender status was granted for Scott Byrd and Daniel Parnell, we are prohibited from disclosing details of the resolution of those cases. However, we can say that our office worked closely with Summer Moody's family and law enforcement to arrive at what we could agree was the just and right thing. We are all satisfied with the results in both cases.
A Baldwin County Corrections Officer has been fired after admitting to a relationship with inmate Daniel Parnell. Parnell is one of the Gravine Island suspects, who was granted youthful offender status in the murder case of Summer Moody.
