A family eliminated in the blink of an eye, by one of it's own. So very tragic. MOO

Yes, unbelievable that this is happening more and more lately.

I don't want to hear about him treated as a juvenile. 14 year olds should know better than to murder people, and lie about it. He needs to be locked up forever. Unpopular opinion or not, no sympathy for the shooter here. JMOO.

Absolutely NOT victim bashing but Dad had a couple of arrests. Menacing in 2014 and 1st degree burglary in 2018. Just for info only about why the gun was in the home "illegally"

A 14-year-old has been charged with five counts of murder after confessing to shooting his family members in their Elkmont, Alabama, home, police said Tuesday.

The victims are: John Sisk, 38, the boy's father; his stepmother, Mary Sisk, 35; his 6-year-old brother; his 5-year-old sister; and his 6-month-old brother, Limestone County Sheriff's Office spokesman Stephen Young told reporters Tuesday.

Though the suspect faces five juvenile counts of murder, Young said the teen, "pending the adjudication process, could face adult charges of multiple counts of murder and/or capital murder."

Oh no...not another family gone. I am heartbroken. How can anyone take the life from a child. What evil has invaded this 14 year old? I have no words..only sadness and disgust.

I don't think the gun in the home either legally or illegally has anything to do with this. What was wrong with that 14 year old?
Whatever caused his moral breakdown, did not happen overnight.

Wonder if something happened on their trip that set him off?
Alabama boy, 14, held in murders of his family of 5 after confessing, investigators say
“I kept saying to myself, “Oh, my God, oh, my God,’” she said. “It’s a shock. I don’t think it has hit me yet.”

The grandmother said she had no idea what the motive was for the killings. “How many problems can a 14-year-old have?” she asked.

She said she had spoken to her daughter-in-law, a school teacher, Monday morning.

The grandmother said she was told the family was in Pensacola, Fla., on a family trip and would be returning home later in the afternoon.

Strange destination for a family trip with an impending hurricane.

This kid's bio mother died suddenly when he was 6 yrs. old. She also had a small child that had died. Bio mother and boy's father had divorced and this boy lived w/ bio mother and her new husband.
I'm guessing when bio mother died boy was
sent to live w/ bio dad and step mom.
This can be a tough transition for a child.
Bio dad was a member of motorcycle club and
has some crimes in his past. He professed to
just finding "religion" and quoted a lot of scripture in his sm.

This is just horrible.
What on earth, did the teen think this would achieve?
A good life alone perhaps.:(:(:(
MOO.

No, I don't think that's it.

Pensacola is almost in Alabama- hundreds of miles from Dorian.

Family members are saying that he has been "acting out" for awhile now, caused some damage at school and there was violence towards animals. I just think that the parents should've got him some professional help, especially with other children in the home. Plus, taken into consideration his violent behaviour, having guns inside the home was probably not a very smart idea, and yes I KNOW, that if he really wanted to kill he would've found other ways to do so, but why make it easier? I'm not saying that he shouldn't pay for the crimes he commited but something could've been done to, at least, TRY to prevent this tragedy.

Just curious about you're thoughts so far as to
what you think caused this.
I really admire your posts in the past cases.

suffered terrible trauma and abuse in their lives.
