Circumstances of Disappearance:
Phillips was last seen surfing off the coast of Dauphin Island, Alabama on March 29, 1991. He was witnessed drifting out in the waters and has never been heard from since. The Coast Guard recovered his surf board with a broken ankle strap 20 miles off shore. It is presumed Phillips drowned but his body has never been recovered.

There is no way they haven't compared him with this John Doe, right?

John Doe - Alabama - DoD est. 1990-1996

Looks close enough that they should! I know the height seems way off, but they are dealing with submerged, skeletal remains in early 90's Alabama. Mistakes quite possibly were made here, as they have been so many times in these cases...

PS - anyone know how Travis ended up with a bullet in his leg?
(Or... how did they determine John Doe "might" have been in a helicopter or boat crash?)

I went to school with him. We “went together” for about 1 period until I changed my mind… whole other story..
anyway I am surprised to see he is still listed as missing all these years later
We were all told that he got caught in undertow.
That was the official story that was going around amongst friends and local media🤷🏻‍♀️

I wish I had stayed your girlfriend more than an hour😢
