A U.S. Marine stationed in the Florida Panhandle was arrested in an interstate investigation of a missing woman who was found dead in an Alabama pond this week.

On Wednesday, the Escambia County Sheriff's Office announced that 20-year-old Willie Ellington was charged with the murder of 26-year-old Tshey Bennett. According to ECSO, Ellington is also charged with possessing child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬.

"We found out that prior to his meeting, he Googled things like 'What does a body look like, a dead body look like, after two days?' 'How many prostitute murders go unsolved?' 'Does someone scream if they're being strangled?'" Sheriff Simmons said.

So he targeted Tshey for murder because she was a sex worker? Lock him up and just throw away the key ...

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. -- The woman killed allegedly by a Marine in Escambia County is being remembered by her friend as a loving mother.

Not only was Bennett a single mother actively going back to school for a business degree, her son's 8th birthday was Thursday.

"Tshey was the most humble, funniest girl I've ever met in my life," said Jessica Ramirez, a friend of Bennett's for more than a decade. "There was not ever a dull moment with her."

"I can't even put it in words how many people cared about this girl," she added. "I wish she was here so she could see, Tshey look how many people care about you. I don't even know if she knew."

Once law enforcement examined the phone, they discovered the alleged child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. Along with that, investigators also uncovered possibly incriminating Google searches.

"Ellington was also making Google searches such as, 'What state is a corpse in after 2 days,' on Dec. 15, 2024, and, 'Can a murderer be convicted without a body,' on Dec. 13, 2024," the report said. "Searches also included Ellington searching, 'How many prostitutes murders go unsolved,' on Dec. 13, 2024."

Ellington's cell phone also showed he purchased a 36-inch rolling duffle bag from the Navy exchange 55 minutes before he met Bennett at Sweet Dreams Inn, according to the report.

Before meeting Bennett, law enforcement says Ellington searched, "How long can you live after being stabbed," and, "Do people scream when being strangled."
