DH bought two sheets of Alex Trebek stamps yesterday. Our PO branch didn't have the First Day Covers. They're available on the USPS website, so he'll order them.

OT/Related: The Bette Davis stamp was released on September 18, 2008. We were on an Alaskan cruise and stopped in Skagway that day. I had researched the location of the post office near the port and determined that it was less than a mile from the dock. We had a shore excursion booked at 10:00AM so we disembarked at @8:00AM, walked to the post office, bought the stamps and the First Day Cover, and returned to the ship with plenty of time to spare. I never used any of the stamps and kept the full sheet - the stamps were 42 cents then.

I haven’t bought “Forever” stamps at the post office since the moon landing commemorative stamps back in 2019. I seldom mail things so a sheet of stamps lasts a long time for me.

So I was surprised to see they were 73 cents.
