All Casey Cell Phone LOGS and PINGS

Do we think since Casey was a CSI buff that on the day she disposed of the body she left her phone at home or elsewhere so that she couldn't be traced? I think she would be smart enough to know not to call someone from where she was disposing the body. Maybe she went out by the airport, made a few calls then left her phone out there for a while just to get everybody off track. ie..went to the woods made a few calls, laid her phone down in the grass so it would get the pings. She then takes off and goes somewhere else discards the body and then comes back and gets her phone later. Is this possible?

I think that is exactly something she would do.

My apologies in advance if this has been asked & answered. I didn't see it in a quick scan of the thread.

1) If I understand cell technology, basically, if a phone is in-transit, the phone's signal rides on a cell tower until it moves in range of the next tower. The phone can be in-transit within the range of a single tower (e.g. driving around in a neighborhood) and the tower record will be indistinguishable from a stationary phone in the same tower range. I'm not going anywhere in particular with this one...only asking those more knowledgable on the matter to confirm that this is correct.

2) Is there a good rule-of-thumb standard (e.g. X-miles) to use on the range of a cell around a tower? IOW...drawing a X mile radius around each of these towers would likely encompass the exact location where the cell was when it was recorded.

3) Recall the early call between Lee and Casey from jail when Casey commented on poor cell reception from Hopesprings Drive. Ironic, eh?

I think that's more credit than she deserves for being intelligent. She seemed to be confused about the whole sim card thing. And she may have said she likes the crime shows to impress boyfriend of the day. I don't think she was off the phone long enough to watch tv.

I'm a CSI buff also but unfortunetly CA has ruined that for me as every time I watch now I'm reminded that she loved the show. However, I think you make a good point and I've thought the same. I believe she has manipulated the evidence/forensics to cover her arse. As much as we all hate her..have to admit that she is intelligent. I think she very well may have left her phone somewhere to through off the evidence.

I'm not sure about that. I think she's a pretty smart girl, I think she's trying to play dumb. If she were so stupid, I think they'd found Caylee by now.

I'm really curious about the cell phone pings on the day she showed up at Chris S. home,I believe it was the a.m. of June 16th/17th driving Tony's jeep. What do phone records show? I can't view at work and had trouble at home on my computer. I hope I have that story straight - it came from Chris S. transcript.

6/16 7:45:51 Looks like Casey (9286) tried calling someone (407-2**-7686). Does anyone know who this is?

Then the following line is directly under it:
6/16 7:45:51 The Anthony home phone (4909) tried calling Casey's phone.

How does this work with the same time being listed...and who is the 7686 number?

Between 8pm 6/15 and 3am 6/16 there is roughly 50 text messages and phone calls between them. From midnight to 3am are all SMS til he calls her.

So, there are 2 different "airports"

Casey only had one call on Tuesday from outside the airport

She loses BOTH her phones & cannot explain this
She only had the Blackjack one week
It contained info from the other phone......

There are persons she knows that work in this area outside the Int'l Airport

Who's house was she living at June 16-17-18?

she only lost one phone, the blackjack. her nokia was at TL's and LE picked that up.

Okay, on 6/20 I also noticed the following numbers that I don't see attached to anyone. These are numbers that Casey called.

1:16pm - 407-9**-0982, the call lasted 1 minute.
1:18pm - 407-4**-9700, the call lasted 1 minute...BUT

immediately after she called that number, someone at the 9700 number called her right back to speak for 4 minutes @ 1:19pm.

The reason these stuck out to me was because the lat/long of the tower that pinged Casey's call was different for most that I had seen. This one was a tower on South Semoran between Whisper Lake Lane & Terry Brook Drive.
(28.5836111, -81.3052778).

Even more frightening is the fact that this tower sits in the middle of a Personal Store-and-Lock type place.

Can anyone match these numbers up?

Very clever thinking. Do you think she thought this out that much?!? Also, where are you finding the airport "pings" in the phone logs? I've been jumping back and forth between the 16th/17th and the 26th/27th so I may not have crossed the airport "ping" part yet.

I haven't seen them but I know that's where the investigators focused because of supposed cell phone pings.

Yes, that is correct. I'm checking the calls immediately after that location, and they go back to the tower near Forsyth & E. Colonial.
